My Day in Pictures

Woke up, tanned by the pool while reading the Hunger Games.

I met up with Savannah to have lunch at Chick-Fil-A before school, since our first class was cancelled!

Then I went to school for a few hours. When I came home, Savannah met me here to do an assignment for our ASL III class. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from that time!

Buuuuuut, after she left, I took both of the dogs on a walk together, all by myself! They did surprisingly well, and we had a loverly time!

And after their walk, I decided to go for a swim while V was at the range!

Beachy!

Today I went to the beach with my sister. It was a beautiful day, the only thing that could have made it better was if V had been with us.

After we sun-tanned, we went to lunch at Rusty's. It was delicious, as usual. I'm home now...time to relax (and maybe work on some of my stupid translation for Cloony the Clown), before yoga tonight. I'm pretty pooped...maybe I'll take a nap. Hah!

Time for a Break!

School is finished for the week! I'm hoping to get my assignment for Terp I done before yoga tonight so I won't have to worry about it over the weekend. I've got lunch plans with my dad tomorrow, then I'm going swimming with my sister! It's going to be a wonderful day!

I really cannot believe it, but this semester will be over in the next couple weeks! I can still vividly remember calling my sister after my first interpreting class and TOTALLY second guessing my choice of becoming an interpreter! I'm really glad I got all of that figured out! Have I told you exactly what I've decided to do? Well...if I haven't, here's what's going on: I have classes left to take for this summer and fall, then the spring and summer of 2013 and THAT'S IT! I have one single assessment that I have to take to become an interpreter for OCPS and interpret for a little Deaf student in a mainstream classroom! I haven't decided yet if I want to start at UCF to get my BA in elementary education. I probably will soon after I start my job (if I can find something that works with my schedule, of course!). But I'm sure it would help tremendously if I have a background in the shit these teachers will be teaching! I really wish they had an interpreting program at UCF. I just can't see myself traveling to Tampa 2+ times a week to take classes for their interpreting program for 2 years! And I'm definitely not moving anywhere!

Annnnyways! I need to get started on that assignment if I want to finish it before yogs!

Back in Routine

I gotta get back in my blogging routine!

This morning, before babysitting, I watched my movie and wrote the paper for it! Hooray! Tomorrow morning I'm going to try and work on my Silverstein poem for Terp I!

I have been kindly reminded that I do not update nearly often enough these days by my beautiful cousin. So I am here and I am back! I'm officially beginning my photo-a-day (of myself!) again TODAY!

Herro!!!

I had school today and I am so overwhelmed! This semester is coming to an end and it seems like all of my professors have saved all of our assignments until now! I'm like flooded with homework/studying/translations! I have to watch a movie (2 DAMN HOURS LONG!) and write a "reflection" paper about it for my Latin American humanities class. For my ASL III class, I have to study for our Unit 14 test on Thursday. Surprisingly I don't have any homework for my Intro to Interpreting class, and I have to translate a PostSecret from written English to ASL for my Terp I class. I'm kind of looking forward to that assignment because the PostSecret I picked is really funny and adorable! This is it:

After I get my translation figured out, maybe I'll make a video of it especially for you, dear blog!

I also have to start working on my third assessment for my Terp I class. We're translating a Shel Silverstein poem, Cloony the Clown. From written English to ASL. Should be interesting. Our first 2 parts of the assignment are due this Sunday. I figure I'll work on that Friday since I have the day off from babysitting. I'm going to have to watch and write that stupid paper tomorrow morning before I have to go babysit though, which is going to suck! After this paper, I'll only have one more left for that class, and then I'll be done! On my first three papers my grades went as follows: 80, 85, 95. I'm very pleased that my grades are improving, and I'm hoping my grade on this paper will be in the 90's. My grade in that class right now is a 87% I believe, and I'd really like to have an A as my final grade! 

This weekend is Easter weekend and we have a dinner planned with my favorite aunt and uncle on Saturday, and then we're going to V's parents house for Easter dinner on Sunday. I'm planning to make some super cute Easter cupcakes to bring for dessert! I'll be sure to document it, and share pictures with you!

The weather is beginning to warm up quite quickly. I'm pretty sure this week it's in the 90's all week! I went for a swim yesterday and the pool was amazing. I've been working on my tan for quite a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with how it's coming along! 

Okay, I've got to get on my translating. I'll be sure to post tomorrow!
