Bye Bye, October!

Well, it's finally Halloween! Even though I feel like I've already celebrated three times this month, I was really looking forward to passing out candy to the kids in my neighborhood, but I only ended up getting 4! Since the weather is SO nice out, I decided that we would sit out on the front porch to pass out candy, rather than inside the house. I thought it would be great, and it was! We just didn't have nearly enough kids come around! Ellie enjoyed it though because I left the glass door on the front open so the dogs could watch! Ellie spent the entire evening sitting at the door, sporadically having these little licking fits that she does when I'm behind a closed door and she knows it. 

Lacey on the other hand, was really into it for the first like 5 minutes, then she got tired. Lolz. Ellie was dressed as a little ghost, and Lacey is herself with a Halloween bandana. Sorry Lace, but I don't have any costumes big enough to fit you!

Update From the Weekend!

BLOG! I've missed you! I'm sorry I didn't update all weekend, but it turned out to be quite the busy two days! My sister from another mister was in town from Tampa with her boo and they ended up staying at our house for the weekend. I'm so glad we have the space to offer friends to stay! It was quite enjoyable! Kind of like having roommates again, but these ones were so much better than any of the others I've had.

Friday night after I got home from work, I took a trip to Walmart with V to bring his brother a key to his truck, because he locked his keys in his truck. After we got home, we made dinner and Amby and Rob showed up. The four of us got our Halloween costumes on and went out bowling for a friend's birthday party! We bowled three games and I think I lost every single one. Oh well…I still had fun! After the party, the four of us came back to our house and hung out into the wee hours of the night, enjoying the beautiful weather on the back porch. We didn't end up getting to bed until like 2:30 or something and I was planning on going to yogs at 8am Saturday morning, but that didn't happen. I snoozed for a while and ended up going at 11:45 instead. While I was at yogs, V was at home resting because he had to wake up early to help his parents move their house because they were getting new carpet. After I got home, V had to leave again to put the house back together after the carpet was installed. I took a nice nappie on the couch until he got home, and then we spent the latter part of the afternoon doing things around the house.

Saturday night was spent with my sister and brother-in-law. We went to dinner and out for ice cream, then me and my sister watched Monster House while the boys did boy things. Sunday morning was suuuper lazy for me. I slept in for a bit and then lounged around with Amby and Rob until they left around noon. V was out golfing, and within 20 minutes of him getting home, we left again to go to his grandparents' house for his grandma's 80^th birthday party! 

We had lunch, ate cake and spent the rest of the afternoon over there. When we got home, we both crashed for like 20 minutes, and then left again to go to my sister's to carve pumpkins! I decided to carve mine free hand, so this is how it turned out! Ha!

When we finally got home, we spent what little time we had left of the weekend in our pj's, catching up on reality tv. Overall it was a fabulous weekend, I got to spend some quality time with one of my favorite people whom I don't get to see nearly often enough. I just wish I would have gotten more time to relax with V…at home. Oh well…maybe next weekend!

Speaking of next weekend, Carol should be arriving at our house in the early afternoon hours on Saturday! Lacey is going to be so excited! I'm looking forward to seeing her and having her around again. She'll be staying with us until the 17^th!

Friday Eve!

I'm almost through my first week at my new job! So far, so good! I tried out yoga at 6:45 the other morning and enjoyed it, but I'm not gonna lie, it was hard getting up at 6 o'clock! I'm trying it again tomorrow, but not quite as early.

This morning my mom came over for a bit and gave me some of her work shirts that she doesn't wear anymore! She gave me like six shirts and two pairs of shoes! Very thankful for it!

Second Day

This morning I went to yoga at 9:45 and found out quickly that it was cutting it too close to make it to work by 1. I wasn't out until 11:15, home by 11:26. I had to shower, make/eat lunch and get dressed for work all before 12:30 to make it to work by 1:00. It was way too rushy for me so I'm going to try out going to yoga tomorrow morning at 6:45 because with that class I'll be home by 8 and have the whole morning to do whatever I need. This morning I had no time to relax at home and get anything done (like laundry, cleaning, etc.). I think it's going to work out really well as long as I can get my ass out of bed before the sun!

Work was great today. When I got there I watched an hour long video about sexual harassment in the workplace and then I spent the rest of the afternoon at the front desk learning the ropes. The phone system there is super nice, way nicer than the one I had at Ruden. It's all on the computer and I have a headset that I wear. I answer the phone by pressing F1, and have this huge directory of everyone in the office, so I just click their name and it automatically transfers the call. It's going to be a piece of cake! The day went by kind of slow, but it wasn't bad. It's only 5 hours!

I met a bunch of people who's names I don't remember, but they were all very nice and welcoming. The lady that is training me has been working there for 18+ years, so she knows everyone and everything. 

All in all I had a great day. Hooray!

First Day!

Today was my first day at my new receptionist job! I was in training all day and didn't even spend any time at the front desk! I'll be doing some phone training tomorrow, along with some other new employee stuff. I'm really looking forward to it. I think it's going to be the perfect job!

I was informed today that in the middle of November we'll be having a Thanksgiving luncheon catered by Boston Market...YUM! And at this luncheon we'll also be having a dessert contest which I'm TOTALLY going to be in! I'm not sure what I'm going to bake yet, but I wanna winnnnn!!! Lol. I love competitions!

I'll be getting my new ID tomorrow, so I'll share that picture with you. Hopefully it turns out good.

Donating Books!

Today I spent the morning at home and cleaned out this giant chest we have in our back bedroom. Now that Lunes is gone, we have a free closet because her litter box isn't in there anymore. So I got some things reorganized and fit everything from the chest in that closet! I want to get rid of that stupid chest like asap. It's super huge and the bedroom it's in is small to start with!

I finished messing with all that shit just in time to make it to a yoga class at noon! After I did some yogs, I stopped at a book drop to donate some old books from school that were old editions. I figure someone might get some use out of them...definitely more than I would!

If I would have gotten less of the parking lot on the left, I would have gotten the other half of my face! Oh well.

Shoppin'

I got so many new work clothes today! Two pairs of pants, a super cute pencil skirt, two sweaters, three shirts and a bracelet! I'm going to look so cute at my new job!

Mondaaaay

I feel like I start every post the same and I'm sorry, but I don't know of any other way to start it!

Today started with some yoga, as every Monday does, and it was fabulous, just as it is every Monday. After my practice, Savannah came over so I could help her write a paper. We got her paper done and hung out for a while and had a wonderful time. Now I'm getting ready to go to dinner at V's parent's house!

Tomorrow I'll be meeting my mother for bfast and then going shopping for V's last birthday present. After I finish shopping for him, I'll be on the hunt for some new work clothes. I got rid of all my nice clothes when I left Ruden because I got too skinny for them! SCORE! But now I have to buy new ones. Which definitely isn't a bad thing since I love shopping.

Day With JD

This morning I woke up and went to yoga and then I met up with Savannah and her little brother, JD so we could spend the afternoon together!

We surprised him with a trip to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and then again when we brought him to a park in their neighborhood. The weather was just TOO NICE not to be outside! We spent the whole afternoon there basically and it was so beautiful. The park was right on a lake too, so we were getting a really nice breeze off the water.

After we left, we went back to Savannah's house to hang out for a while, and somebody was tiiiiiired!

When this kid falls asleep, nothing else matters. Once he fell asleep in the car while eating a cheeseburger. Lol <3

Hooray for a FABULOUS day! And a fabulous weekend to come!

Last night was my final shift at Bad Dog! This was my team for the night...Ricardo and Boots. The other cat, BD was hanging out with me for a while, but she hates Boots, so I wasn't about to try and get her in the picture too.

TO THE NEW RECEPTIONIST AT AKERMAN SENTERFITT!

That new job I told you about, but not really because I didn't want to jinx it...I GOT IT! I received the offer over the phone this morning and accepted (OF COURSE!)!!! I'm soooooo happy!!!!!!!

I don't know any of the details yet, I'm waiting for another call back and an email with all that information. All I know is that I GOT IT annnnd I'll be making eleven dollars an hour! HOLLA!!!!!

She's now living with my ex. I think she'll be okay there. She's the only animal, so she'll get all the attention and I think she'll like that.

I miss her, but it's for the best!

Lovely Weekend!

We had quite the busy weekend, but it was also quite fabulous. On Saturday morning V went golfing and I took myself shopping to find something new to wear for Oktoberfest at my aunt and uncle's house later that evening. I ended up finding some super cute leopard print shorts on clearance at Macy's for just ten bucks!

Totes adorbs, right?! 

Before Oktoberfest, I stopped by Savannah's little sister's birthday party to visit with them for a bit! I only got to stay for like an hour because we had to be at my aunt and uncle's by 5, and her sister's party didn't start until 3. 

We got to my aunt and uncle's right on time and enjoyed spending some time with my family and eating some quite delicious food! After the rain finally stopped, we all played a few games of cornhole before it got too dark. 

I'm not very pleased with how chunky I look in this picture because of those shorts. It makes me not want to wear them anymore! At least they were only ten bucks, so if I actually don't ever wear them again, I didn't waste much money. 

After we left my aunt and uncle's house, I went back to Savannah's sister's party for a couple hours. I made it in time to get my caricature done before the cartoon artist guy left!

I don't really think it looks like me, but whatevs! I've never had one done before, and it was free, so I can't complain!

That's Savannah, me and Sarah. Sarah is Savannah's friend and she's suuuuuper nice! We played a game of pool while Savannah was getting her caricature done and it was quite entertaining. Neither of us are very good, but we had fun!

On to Sunday!

Me and V woke up early and headed to our favorite Sunday morning bfast joint...Dunkin Donuts! Their pumpkin donuts are SO GROOD! After we picked up our donuts, we headed out to Sanford and ended up at Lake Monroe. We found a big swinging bench and sat there for a while, chatting and watching boats on the lake. The weather wasn't too terrible and there was like no one there, so it was nice and quite! When we left there, we headed towards Mount Dora and when we got there we went for a stroll through their downtown and found another lake!

There was this man and lady down at the lake who were giving boat rides. Only an hour away from the time it was while we were there...we thought about going, but decided not to because we didn't want to be out much longer. We had already been on our adventure for like 3 hours and we were getting hungry for lunch. V asked the man where we should go for lunch and he recommended this place called Merrill's Market. I ordered this turkey and cranberry sandwich that was absolutely incredible! There was this fancy cranberry cheese on it and it was unbelievable!

SO GROOD!!!!!!!! When we were at the counter checking out, I spotted some Captain Eli's sodas next to the counter and grabbed a blueberry pop. YUMMMM.

When we finally got home around 1:30 we chilled on the couch for a while and then met up with my sister for dinner! It was nice to spend time with her and her hubbs and it was the perfect way to end a fabulous day with my V!

Caramel Corn

Golfer?

I've been thinking about taking up golf. I feel like I have so much free time right now (since I won't be in school until January) that I should take up something new. And since V golfs, and has an extra set of clubs, I thought I'd give it a try!

My dad tried to teach me once when I was like 16, but I didn't really want to do it, so I wasn't really trying. So Sunday I have a date with V so we can go over some things in the backyard. I thought about going to the range to hit some balls, but I'd be totally awful and I'd rather practice more in the backyard before I go out in public. Who knows...maybe I'll like it! I hope I do because I think it would be a lot of fun for me to go golfing with V sometimes!

This morning I relaxed for a bit before going to yoga, which was superb! I think I'm getting verrrry close to popping up to standing from wheel. Annnnd I did a pretty good handstand! Tonight I'll be babysitting my two favorite girls! I haven't seen them in a while and I'm looking forward to hearing about their little elementary lives!

Clean Oven!

This morning I woke up and went grocery shopping...got a little later start than I wanted because I had to wait for my parents to get here to drop off their dog for the day. Don't even ask. After grocery shopping, I went to yogs, which was absolutely loverly, as usual! When I left yoga, I saw a text from a girl at work, asking me to come in for a couple hours for her. Almost every time she asks me to cover for her (which happens quite often), I'm always busy. I honestly had nothing else on my schedule for the rest of the day, so I went in for like an hour and a half. 

When I got home I cleaned our oven! For the first time since we moved in...over 2 years ago!

The bottle suggested I wear gloves while cleaning it, so I bought a pair. I can't believe how well it worked....and how easy it was! All I had to do was spray it on, let it soak for like 20 minutes, and then wipe it down with a damp paper towel. Voila!

Although, I have to admit that wiping down the whole thing inside wasn't very comfortable. Quite awkward in fact!

Side note: I have NO CLUE where that bruise came from...I'm always running into shit. I didn't even know it was there until V asked about it the other day!
