Goodbye, 2011!

I can't believe it's the last day of 2011! CRAZY! This year has flown by and I'm still bummed about my blog self-portriats! I may still do them, just not everyday...we'll see what happens!

I had to hold off on my hair cut because my sister FINALLY found bridesmaid dresses for us, so I had to use my hair cut money to pay for my dress. So I'm going with my sister when she gets HER hair cut on the 21st and I'm gonna get mine cut after her! I also will have health insurance starting tomorrow (and vision and dental!), so I think I'm going to get a new pair of glasses sometime soon! 2012 is going to be the year for a new Jessicat!

I'm going to wait for my picture because I want this one to be good since it's my last one of the year. I'm going to take it later tonight with my NYE crew. (lol)

December 29...2 Days Left in 2011

I made an appointment this morning to get my hair cut tomorrow afternoon! OMG! I figured I should do it now before I chicken out!

I'll make sure I take a before and after picture with all my hair in the back. EEP.

Cutting My Hair

I've decided that I'm going to cut my hair! Like, for real. Not just a trim with an inch or two off the ends. This is going to be like 6+ inches off. I just keep reminding myself that I don't really like it the length that it is, and if for some reason I really miss it, it'll grow back! But I'm looking for a new do to start the new year!

And I just think it's too long! [Never thought I'd say that!]. But I don't like it. I kind of want those bangs too, but we'll see. I'm not one who accepts changes very well. I'm just kind of sick of it, to be honest. It's too long to hold a curl anymore because it's so heavy, and it doesn't really do anything! I'm ready for something new!

New New Year's Resolution

I'm honestly a little sad that my picture-of-myself-everyday-resolution is coming to a close! I'm trying to think of a new one to do for my blog for 2012 and a friend of mine suggested that I post about a yummy food I eat everyday. I thought it was a great idea, but I really don't eat anything very special during the week, so I thought maybe I could do it once a week. Because we usually go out to eat at the end of the week or over the weekend, and maybe this would inspire me to try new foods! So far I haven't thought of anything better, so this may be a wiener! I have 4 days to think, so we'll see what happens!

EDIT! About 2 seconds after I posted this, I looked over it on my blog and saw my picture from earlier today and has a great idear! I can do the yummy food thing once a week, but I have to be IN the picture with the food! YES!

Sickie Cat

I'm feelin like doodoo today. The weather conveniently matches my mood. There's a cold front coming in, so its all windy and overcast. I'm planning to spend the rest of the day in my pj's on the couch. I'm going to make myself a grilled cheese and a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch. I'm doing a little laundry and cleaning the kitchen when I get bored. I'm just glad I don't have to go to school! 4 days left in 2011.

Yes, I had a wardrobe change!

Wanna know what I got for Christmas?

Well....V got me a new shirt for yoga (which I'm very disappointed about because it's too small!), a blender to make smoothies (!), a to go cup to put my smoothies in, 2 headbands for yoga, a strap to put around my yoga mat, and a new bottle of perfume! 

My parents got me a new comforter, bed sheets, bath towels, a Vera Bradley umbrella, Vera Bradley coasters, a pair of fuzzy socks, a giant makeup kit, a bathroom rug, a shower curtain (that I REALLY LOVE  but I don't like in my bathroom because it's way too similar to the color of the walls), and a 2012 calendar with dogs doing yoga! That's all I can think of that they got me. 

My secret santa, who ended up being my sister, got me picture frames that shes going to fill with adorable pictures of my animals, dish soap, kitty litter box freshener, a piggy bank, a few books, some sweet treats, and a pair of earrings.

V's parents got me a whoopie pie pan, a heating pad, 4 wallflowers with the scent plug ins (!), and some more bath towels! His grandparents got me a pair of slippers, some dish towels, a jar opener, and his grandma made me a toilet paper roll cover (which is absolutely adorable!)!

All in all I had a great Christmas. I got tons of presents and got to see lots of family. Next weekend we're having Christmas breakfast at my grandpa's house. 

Oh, Santa also brought me a cold for Christmas. My throat is scratchy and my nose is stuffed. Yuck! I'm tired and it's only 7:33pm!

Christmas Eve

Welp, here it is, y'all...CHRISTMAS EVE! I still can't believe this year is so close to being over. Today I've got a few homemade gifts I need to work on, and I need to clean the house and do the laundry. Thankfully nothing else has come up, so I'll definitely be able to get all these things done! Tonight I want to drive around and look at Christmas lights with my love :]

Everyday this week I have been around at least 1 sick child for at least 5 hours, and thanks to that, I am now beginning to feel a cold coming on. I'm loading myself up with cold-blocking meds today and hoping that when I wake up tomorrow, I'll be back to normal.

Such a Busy Week!

I've been far too busy this week, and I don't like it! Monday-Wednesday I babysat all day and out of those 3 nights, Tuesday was the only one I stayed home and relaxed. Then yesterday I met up with my parents and sisters for bfast, went with my sister while she gave blood, drove her home after she gave blood and then went to this chocolate store with my mom to buy V's grandparents something for Christmas. They didn't end up having what I was looking for, so they offered to custom make it, so I have to go back there today to pick it up. After that, I came home for about 2 hours, then left again to go babysit some more. Today, I'm going to get the dogs their flea treatment at the vet, going to pick up my chocolates, then meeting my aunt for lunch to talk about my cousin's baby shower. After lunch we're going to run a few errands together, then tonight I have to babysit AGAIN. Tomorrow I have nothing to do and I'd really like to keep it that way. I need to get this house cleaned and some clothes washed. The best thing about this busy week though, is that I've made lots of money!

I really cannot believe Christmas is in TWO days. All of my shopping (besides the chocolates that I have to pick up) is done. I'd really like to make a resolution this New Years to have all of my Christmas shopping done by like the first or second week of December so I don't have to worry about it the week before Christmas. It's a little stressful!

I'm looking forward to this week being over, but at the same time I'm not because I don't want Christmas to be over. I like all the decorations and the Christmas tree and my outside lights...I feel like we just put all that stuff up and now it's almost time to take it all down and put it all away. I'm thinking about planting out Christmas tree in the backyard and seeing if we can keep it alive until next Christmas. Wouldn't that be awesome?! Then we wouldn't have to buy another tree! But I don't think the Fraser Firs grow in Florida (because this one was imported from NC). I'd still like to try though...you never know!! I don't need it to grow, I just need to keep it alive!

Now I need to go get ready for my day. I gotta eat something for breakfast and do the dishes in the sink before I leave!

Chipwrecked

Today we went to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. Has to be the worst movie I've seen in at least 4 years. It was so awful!!!! And those damn chipmunk voices are SO annoying! But Cassie and Beck both enjoyed it, and it made the afternoon go by smoothly, so I guess it was okay.

Tomorrow I'm going to lunch with my parents and sister, then we're going out to finish up Christmas shopping! I can't believe Christmas is in 4 days!

Early Day

Well, I finished my second day of babysitting this week. These kids are pretty great. Today we went to the park and they played for almost 2 hours. Then we went to lunch at Chick-Fil-A and they played on the play place there when they finished eating. After lunch we went to Walgreens so they could each buy their mom and dad a Christmas present. Beck got his mom a necklace, which was very sweet, and he wanted to get this snow globe for his dad that had santa in it, but while we were shopping around for Cassie's presents, Beck dropped the snow globe (and it broke all over the toy isle. That's never happened to me before! It startled me, mostly because I wasn't expecting it, and I felt bad for Beck because he thought he was going to be in trouble, so he got pretty upset. But thankfully that only lasted a couple seconds) and we had to pick out a different one. Cassie picked out a bottle of green Scooby Doo mouthwash for her dad, and a big bag of Cracker Jacks, and she got a Hello Kitty bath set for her mom. I was really trying to get her something they might actually like, but it wasn't going to happen. She wanted to buy her mom all the toys that she wanted, but I told her she didn't have enough money to get them, so she FINALLY gave up.

When we got home they both seemed pretty tired, so I helped them wrap up their presents and turned on the tv so they could chill out for a half hour while I did the dishes and picked up downstairs. Before I knew it their mom was home! Earlier than I was expecting, but it's all good. I was going to have them do a surprise present for their parents after their tv show was over, but we'll have to save it for tomorrow. I was thinking of suggesting taking them to the zoo for the day, but I don't know about that. We'll see.

I'm pooped! Those kids wear me out. I'm going to take a shower, get into my pj's (yes, while the sun is still up), and wrap V's dad's Christmas present while I watch Law and Order: SVU.

I'm Gonna Be Rich!

Remember the new family I told you I'm going to start babysitting for? I watched them once last week, Beckett, who is 6 (and the sweetest little boy EVAR), and Cassie who is 4. They both have super good manners and are really nice to each other. Well, their mom just got a new job, so she asked me to watch them ALL DAY this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. For $14 an hour. ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY! I'll actually be able to pay some bills on my own this month! YAY!

I'm practically done with my Christmas shopping, just have a couple things left to pick up at the end of this week! YAY! This week is going to be so great!

Homemade Smoothies!

This morning I stopped at Publix on my way to my sister's house to SHRED IT with her. After our shred, [which wasn't too bad!] we made some strawberry and banana smoothies with this blender she just got from my mom. They were delicious!

I'll just be hanging out with her today...V's working and I've got nothing else to do!

Golfers

This morning I took my final in math. There were 24 questions and all the answers except 1 were A. I'm pretty sure the one I answered D was either to catch people who just put all A, or I was wrong. Lol. Either way I'm pretty sure I got an A in that class. I also got my final grades for humanities and ASL and I got A's in both of those too!

After class I went out to the golf course with V. He played and I rode around with him. 

Christmas Shopping!

This morning I met up with my mom and we did a bunch of Christmas shipping! I got V's shopping practically done, and got my dad's present. When I got home, my mom's present arrived at my doorstep, and after I wrapped all I bought, I ordered V's mom's presents! I feel so accomplished! Now I have to get ready to go babysit for a few hours.

This is from last night, but I thought it was cute. Abby is so pretty already! I cant even imagine how much more beautiful she's going to get when she's older!

Jessicat Gets Decorated

Yeah...that's snow!

Today I did some serious cleaning around the house, washed dog blankets, jackets, and scarves. Worked on a Christmas present for someone who shall not be named. Then my mom came over and we ran a few errands together. All hers, I don't have any money...yet! Tomorrow begins my new babysitting job that I just found out I'd be making $14 an hour at. SCORE! I'm really looking forward to meeting these girls, they're 4 and 8 which are fun ages. 

Yoga tonight. Usually I don't go on Tuesdays, but I can't go tomorrow night because I'll be babysitting. I'm thrilled to babysit all day tomorrow because I'll finally have some money which means when I go Christmas shopping with my mom on Thursday I'll be able to buy V's Christmas presents! 

OMG. I was just eating the Garden Salsa Sun Chips and I rubbed my eye with the hand I was eating them with and apparently I had some of the spices on my hand still and now they're in my EYE! OWWWWW!!!! It burns! My eye is all watery and it feels like its swollen! This is AWFUL! I gotta go find some eye drops or something.

Sunday

Well, this morning we went to breakfast at my parents new house, then helped them move some things. Then we got home and rearranged our living room! It looks pretty cool now, much more open. I wish we could get some new furniture, but I guess that'll come sometime.

I'm not really sure why I kept looking down because the only thing below my eyes is my desk and keyboard! Interesting. I wonder if I do that a lot when I'm talking to people IRL. HMM!

Elf on the Shelf? I Forgot...

Yeah, sorry about that. I forgot I said I was thinking about making an Elf on the Shelf. Maybe next year, lol. Or maybe tomorrow...who knows! Today I had class, then I went shopping for my secret santa. After I finished that, I met my parents for brunch and then went to look at the house they're moving in to. It's weird to think that they're moving. I don't really like thinking about it at all though, honestly. When we left there, me and my mom went to Joann's because she told me the other day (as did my cousin) that all of their Christmas stuff is 60% off! So she bought me like 6 new ornaments for my tree which I absolutely love! She also bought herself a new tree skirt and gave me her old one, so now I have one! Yay!

I finally got home later in the afternoon and decided after eating the other half of my sammich from brunch, that I would give Lacey a bath outside. Usually I do it in the shower, but all of her hair clogs the drain so bad, I didn't want to deal with it. MISTAKE. She almost broke my finger (that was holding on to her collar) when she tried running off into the grass (that's not really grass anymore because she has dug so many damn holes:

and that's only about 1/24 of our yard.)

But I finally got her all cleaned, and then decided to hose off the deck. Now I'm done and I've already taken the trash and recycling to the curb. I threw a load of towels in the washer too! I'm going to yoga in a bit, and I can't wait to hang out with V when he gets home from work!

Christmas Cards!

Today I finished making all of my cards! I made 21 total, which is even more than I was hoping to make, so everyone on my list will be getting a card! I'm going to warn you now, there are 21 pictures coming up, so be aware if your computer is slow! Ha.

I made this one for a couple that I babysit for because they're Jewish, but when I signed my name on the back, it bled through....
