Side crow is my newest accomplishment. I've got crow down really well and I documented that back in February: (look how different the yard is!)
I think today I'll be doing some homework. Later today I have to go babysit so I'm thinking about also bringing some books with me to do some homework while I'm babysitting (after the girls go to bed, of course!).
We went to my sister's first thing this morning to help her and fiance move. We spent most of the day over there, packing, moving, and a little unpacking/organizing. Today was my first day off from ASL this semester and it's sad. We have no school Wednesday morning either which is super sad!
We got home around 4 and have been relaxing on the couch ever since. We're cooking dinner now...baking potatoes (regular for V, sweet for me) and in about a half hour, we're going to grill some filets of salmon to go with them. YUM! I had some corn but it's not good :(
Tomorrow morning I'll be going to yoga (FINALLY!), hanging out with Kimmie (possibly) and babysitting in the evening...I'm not too thrilled about babysitting because I would rather be with V (doy), but I could really use the extra money, so I'm taking every opportunity I get. I applied for a part-time nanny position on Craigs List last week, but I never got a reply, which I'm kind of sad about because the family seemed super awesome! And because it would have brought in enough money for me to pay all of my bills. And it would have been perfect for me because they only wanted someone like 3 days a week, and it was only in the evenings, and only until like 7. Oh wells....I'm definitely going to keep checking though, just in case! Especially because school is getting out in like a week and I know people will need help with their kids over the summer...right?!?!
Spending my morning watching the Saturday half-day trial. Got a little bit of chapter 2 homework done this morning. Now V is working on his math homework and I'm sitting on the couch eating some granola cereal, watching the trial. PROOF:
After the trial is over (which I'm assuming will be at noon), I'm not quite sure what we have planned, and I'm perfectly fine with that! Tomorrow morning I'll be babysitting (woo!) and V is going golfing (which he is SO excited about <3), and Monday we'll be spending the day helping my sister and her fiance move!
I'd like to try and get some more math homework done because we have four sections of homework, and a quiz due by next Saturday, and then the following Wednesday we have a test on chapters 1&2. I wanted to get ahead now so I'm not so slammed with math homework all week long. But maybe that wouldn't be so bad since I don't have ASL next week (BOOOOO!). I think me and my sister are going to try and sit in at the trial one morning next week which would be TOTES awesome! We'll see.
I spent the morning/early afternoon with my sister. I went over with Lacey to visit and we went to Olive Garden (where she treated me to lunch, THX!), then to the mall to get her engagement ring(!) cleaned. I browsed at a couple stores and tried on a dress at American Eagle that was a size 2 and it was too big. I don't think I've ever had that happen to me before.
I guess that explains it! WOOT!!!!!
I curled my hair with Lindsey's curling iron and used some of her Aussie hairspray and my curls have never held this good! I'm lovin' it!
I need to go and do my math quiz so I can (hopefully) catch some more of the Casey trial before it ends at 5!
I'm so done with math for this week, but I still have a quiz to take before Saturday night. We were behind 2 sections, so this week we had to do 4 and it totally sucked! I'm hoping since after Saturday we'll be back on track, that we'll only have to do 2 a week from here on out. 4 was overwhelming, especially with the Casey Anthony trial! LOL
This morning my sister came over and we hung out in the pool for a while. Then shared a mini Boboli pizza and after that she had to go to work. I spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch listening/watching the trial whilst trying to get my homework done. It took me like 2.5 hours to finish section 1.4 which only consisted of 24 questions.
This morning I went to class and took my quizzes/test. I got a 100 on my fingerspelling quiz, but I definitely didn't get that well on my vocabulary quiz. Oh well...as for my test, I feel pretty good about it! We don't have class on Monday since it's Memorial Day, and apparently Lilly won't be in town on Wednesday, so she's canceling class! I'm SUPER bummed! I guess I'll just take advantage of the time and practice my vocab and get ahead in my other classes.
I took my first biology quiz this afternoon and got an 18/20! Woot! Right now I'm working on my math homework...I have 2 more sections left and then I need to take the chapter 1 quiz, and I'll be done with math until next Saturday.
We're super tight with money right now so I'm sad to say that there will be no Pom's after yoga tomorrow! I had to stock up and shop smart at Walmart this morning. I bought enough meals for 9 dinners. Salads, rice&chicken, turkey burgs, hotdogs, cheese ravioli w/ veggies, pizza and pasta w/ tuna. Go me!

I just found out from J.Mo that this girl who was JUST on 16 and Pregnant a few weeks ago is pregnant again! Jordan...the twin, for those of you who watch it. Apparently her and her bf at the time, Brian, got married recently and now she's knocked up yet again. This time with a girl. She's trying to make it sound okay because they're married and living on their own/paying their own bills. You're still like 17, bitch! And now that I'm talking about 16 and Pregnant, the one that's coming on tonight is about this ex-anorexic girl who was first hospitalized for anorexia when she was 13. THIRTEEN, people! The LAST thing I was thinking about when I was 13 was my weight. What is the world coming to?!?! Apparently it's an extended episode because there was just too much drama for 60 minutes!

This morning I didn't wake up until 10:27! I guess I was really tired! After I woke up I got started on some math homework, and I just finished the first 2 sections. So far it's really easy, mostly because it's just a review from what we did last semester! I'm really hoping the whole class will be a review, but I don't think it will. Tomorrow in ASL I have a fingerspelling quiz, a vocabulary quiz, and our unit 1 test (I think I mentioned that in yesterday's post), but I need to study for the unit 1 test because it's going to have stuff from the first day like with the history and such, and I didn't remember any of it! I'll need to memorize names and dates! So that's what I'll be doing this evening, on top of some more math homework. I'd like to have all my math homework done before or by tomorrow afternoon so I can get started on my biology homework!
Saturday night I babysat and got to see a lot of SillyBandz.
I was given an alligator, a J, a pig and one that says xoxo. Lilly insisted on giving me the xoxo so I could remember how much she loved me everytime I looked at it. She's 5.
After the girls went to bed I watched a lot of tv and practiced my french braids. I found out that I do them better blind because when I'm trying to look in the mirror I think I try too hard.

School this morning, we did a review of unit 1. Wednesday we have a fingerspelling quiz, a vocabulary quiz and our unit 1 test! I think it'll be the only thing we do all day. It seems like it's going to take a while.
This morning we went on a kidney walk with a team from V's work. After that we went on a drive around town and then went to Publix to get a few groceries for the afternoon because we were having my sister and her fiance over, J.Mo and her hubbs and their baby A. As we were turning onto our street we got a frantic call from J.Mo saying they were just in a head-on crash. We pulled back out and headed towards them, but by the time we got there, they were being taken away in the ambulance. We stayed at the scene for an hour waiting for Mr. FHP to fill out paperwork so we could get J.Mo and hubbs' licenses back. Once we got those we met my sister and her fiance at the hospital. The baby was untouched (THANK GOODNESS), but both J.Mo and hubbs were back in the ER waiting to be seen/taken care of by the doctor. After them being there for like 5 hours they were discharged and sent home. J.Mo's car is totaled and was towed from the scene...We met them back at their house with the baby and J.Mo has lots of bruises and her hubbs' face is prettttty messed up. Thankfully though, they're all just fine.
WHAT A DAY.
Needless to say we are very tired. We didn't go to bed until like 2:30 last night because I was out babysitting and V was out with a friend. Then we woke up at like 8 for the walk and were going all day long. Time to relax before another week begins.

I learned SO much in class this morning. We got our first vocabulary list and it is long! I'm really trying to remember every word. We have a Deaf interaction assignment we have to do before July 18 and I want to learn as much as I can so I don't look like a huge idiot, lol.
I was just informed by J.Mo that the world is ending on Saturday. I've never heard anything about it until today, only about it ending in 2012. I don't believe either of the times...only because I'm not ready. It terrifies me to think about (thanks for pointing it out, J.Mo!). May 21st though? Sounds kind of random to me...I have homework due that day, and I have to babysit...and V is going to be working, so that just doesn't sound like it's going to work out. I've got too much shit planned for my life that I haven't done. I want to get married and have a baby, learn sign language, teach elementary children, have a boston terrier, win the lottery, own an awesome car and a bigger house. It's not time, k?
Other than that, today I painted one of the 3 shutters that bring much shade to the front of our house. V took them down a couple weeks ago to get the house prepped for painting and I've missed them! So I took it upon myself to get them painted this week. I started today and got one done. There are two big ones (almost 7 feet long) and one shorter, but taller one.
Sorry the after picture isn't better. It was hard to get the whole thing in a picture! I think it's quite the improvement though. I can't wait to show you pictures of the whole house after it's all put back together (which I'm hoping will be before Saturday).
This is what I looked like after painting the shutter. My hair was a little unruly because I just washed it last night and went to bed with it wet...and still haven't brushed it. Ha!

V went to the gun show this morning with his friend Matt. So I'm at home doing nothing...just like every other morning.
I did a little bit of humanities homework. Finished what is due tomorrow, and started on what's due on Thursday. We haven't done anything for our math class yet because V doesn't have an access code for our online math program. Hopefully I'll be picking that up for him tomorrow or Wednesday so we can get that started. In biology I haven't done much of anything still. My professor doesn't have anything posted for this coming week yet.

Ellie's tail is all better and she seems to be feeling fine too. I just gave them both some regular food and Lacey seems to have some serious gas again. I think I need to change their food. I just got a bag of food that I haven't opened so I'm going to bring it back and get them something else. I don't know what happened because she used to be fine after she ate it, but now it doesn't seem to be agreeing with her!
This morning my sister's fiance and J.Mo's hubby came over to help V paint the outside of our house! I'll post pictures later this week when we get the shutters up and put everything back in order. It looks AWESOME! I spent the afternoon in the pool with my sister, J.Mo and baby A.

This morning I woke up to pee at like 6 and both of the dogs were awake and walking around. As soon as Lacey saw me she started whining, so I let them outside. They both immediately ran over to this new grassy spot in the yard and began to chow down. Neither of them are feeling well today and it's making me sad! Ellie barfed a little while I was gone with my sister, and I'm pretty sure Lacey has puked outside at some point or another. AND Ellie's tail is droopy! She'll wag it like normal if she's playing with her ball or running across the yard, but otherwise it just hangs :[ If it's not perkier tomorrow I'm going to consider calling a vet.
As if I didn't already love this song enough! I can't wait til the day I can do this!
Class was wonderful this morning, of course. She just lectured the whole time, but it was all really interesting! I learned the about the culture history of ASL. I also learned that (if you hadn't noticed from the video), ASL is not literally translated from English. Like, there is no different sign for he or she, it's implied by the context of the sign. Interesting, right? So like the sentence "the cat climbed up the tree" would not be signed in that order. She told us you basically get your setting in place, and then describe the things that happen. So you'd sign "tree" and "cat" and then show what the cat does. It's all really interesting to me and I can't wait til we start getting into learning signs! If I don't look super stupid, I'll post a video sometime! :]

I freaking love jelly beans. I recently discovered my love for these sweet beans when I tried to make my easter bunny rice crispy treats. They're so yummy! I've kept our kitchen stocked with them since that weekend. I really like the Publix brand ones because they're fatter than the Jelly Belly ones, AND they're like 3 times cheaper. For real. The Publix brand ones are like a buck fifty and the Jelly Belly's are $4.49! Absurd!
I've been doing some schoolwork today. I went through all my online class schedules and put them on my calendar next to the computer so I don't miss anything. Somehow Valencia's online bookstore listed the wrong book on their website for our math class, so I bought the wrong one on Amazon. So I went to look for the right book at the online bookstore and my campus doesn't carry it. For real, VCC? I'm going to check the bookstore at school after class tomorrow to see if, by some chance, they have it. I really hope they do...and that it's cheap because I don't have much money to spend on books, since I don't get any financial aid for the summers.
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my sign language prof? She is SO awesome! I'm really looking forward to going to class again! I'm also really excited to find out how much I learn by the end of the semester. Yesterday I learned how to sign my name (even though I already knew how), the sign for facebook, and Orlando. Woot! Maybe after I learn more I'll make a video to share with you (J.Mo, lol).
So V and a couple of his friends are painting the outside of our house this weekend. We had been looking at houses for a couple months to find a color we liked and finally found one like a week or two ago. Well it was my mission last week to find out what the color was, so we got a good picture of it and I brought it to Home Depot because I heard from a little bird that they could color match from pictures. NOT! They cannot. So I got up the nerve to knock on their door this afternoon...no one was home. So I went back to my sister's and wrote them a note, leaving my number. The lady who lives there actually called me! Just now! And she had the name of the color! SCORE! I'm so glad. I can't wait til the house is painted!
I went to my first ASL class this morning! My teacher is absolutely AMAZING. This class is going to be the best class I've ever taken, I can already tell! I'm SO excited!
After class was over I went to the bookstore to buy a new folder, and stumbled upon this gem:
That's right! It's a backwards notebook for left handed people so I'm not battling with the spirals all the time! AWESOME!
My sister Lindsey graduated yesterday from UCF! On the left is my oldest sister, Tessa, who came down from Rhode Island for Lindsey's graduation.
Today is Mother's Day and we've got lots of mom things to do. This morning we had bfast with my parents and this afternoon we're going to V's grandparents house to visit his grandma, and tonight his parents are coming over and we're cooking them dinner! Salmon and steaks...YUM!
School starts TOMORROW! I'll be attending my second class on campus, but this time, V won't be with me :X I'm scared!
Blah! Today was a busy dayy! This morning I went to the mall with my sister to buy her fiance a shirt for her graduation tomorrow, but we didn't find him anything. I found myself a new dress though and I'm totally wearing it to her graduation and her graduation party tomorrow! AND it was only $14.99...and I have a $10 gift card! I didn't have it with my, but I asked the cashier if I could bring my gift card and my receipt back and get the money back on my card and she said I could. SCORE! So I got a super cute dress for like 5 bucks! After we got back, I went to my parents house to make three dozen cupcakes for my sister's party tomorrow. That's right...THREE DOZEN.
This weekend is going to be insane. We have to leave super early for her graduation tomorrow morning, and then we have her party to go to in the afternoon. Sunday is Mother's Day so we'll be spending the morning with my mom for brunch, the afternoon with V's grandparents, and the evening with V's parents. Then school starts back on Monday! Ahh!!!
I swear it seems like I'm throwing my sister's graduation party. Everyday my mom has something else she wants me to do for her.
I took a break to have lunch with my oldest sister who's in town for my other sister's graduation. I brought Laceydog along, and she was so good!
Now I'm home cooking some potatoes for the potato salad. After I finish this blog post, I'm going to work on a collage thingy, and later tonight it's YOGA! Woot!
I found this delicious sounding peanut butter cookie recipe and I wanted to make them a few days ago but I didn't think I had any brown sugar. Then I finally checked and I did! So I made 'em! The cookie dough is currently in the refrigerator, getting cold. I'm probably going to leave it in there for about 2 hours, so I'll be popping them in the oven around 5:30! I'm not making any fancy ones, just plain, classic peanut butter cookies. I have to admit, the dough was REALLY yummy!
Also, see that super cute towel hanging on my oven? I bought it this morning at Crate and Barrel when I remembered I had a gift card in my wallet! It had like $8 on it, so I bought that one and another one thats pink!
That's all really...I can't wait to share with you how good the peanut butter cookies are!
ALREADY! My birthday is next month and I can't believe it! I need to figure out what I'm going to do about invitations! I think I'm going to hand-make them, but I haven't decided on colors yet. I'm thinking about taking colors from my new bathing suit, so like white, a light peach-ish color, and a baby blue. We'll see! I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the same party I had last year...swimming and grilling! It was a blast and it's like the only fun thing you can do for a summer birthday.
This week I have a whole lot of nothing planned. Like for real. It's going to go by slow but I need to take it all in because next week classes will be back in session!
