Baby Grand's

Last night on our way to the driving range I got a call from my friend Amby, inviting me and V to Baby Grand's with her and her bf. We didn't have any other plans so of course we went! It was just the 4 of us and it was a ton of fun! I had never been to Baby Grands before, and I don't usually like going out, especially downtown (introvert alert!), but I wanted to go to celebrate the end of Amby's internship. I'm really glad we went, and I would most definitely go back there, it was a blast! The pianists were all really good and took requests, and I swear knew the lyrics to like every song in the universe! Oh, they also serve alcohol in fishbowls, unfortunately I don't have a better picture than this:

By this time, V had about 1/3 of the alcohol fishbowl, a regular shot, a jello shot, and about 5 beers, lol (which completely explains his eyebrows! I love him)

My V and Amby's bf, Rob. This was the first time they really hung out together and it was adorable to see them getting along so well.

This girl came around with jello shots in syringes and afterwards, squirted whipped cream into your mouth. lol

After we left there, me and V went to mochi and got some froyo, then stopped at the Corona Cigar Company because V wanted to get a couple cigars.  

This morning I went with my mom to run some errands and V's out golfing with a friend. Hopefully after he gets home we'll be going to visit some horses!

Thats all for now. Tomorrow V is supposed to be pressure washing the house so he can paint it in a couple weeks. Should be interesting...!

Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

So everyone has been crazy over this strawberry lemonade from McDonald's...I finally tried one today and was disappointed!

Meh. I don't know if I'd get another one...

I went to lunch with V this afternoon and then went over to hang out with Kimmie and Carmella for the afternoon :] Fantastic Friday if you ask me! Now V is home and I'm going with him to the driving range. After that, who knows!

No School for 10 Days!

I'm going to go crazy! I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time with the new baby :] I'm going to feel like such a slacker! So I finished my final for my education class yesterday afternoon and we had 2 hours to take it, and it was 50 multiple choice questions, from the ENTIRE book! I finished it with like 30 minutes to spare and got a 41/50 which is an 82%! I'm almost positive I'll be passing that class with an A! I got the grade for my final in my comp II class today and I got an 80%, which I was surprised with because I usually get 95+ on my essays, but that one was really hard, and it still left me with an A in the class so I'm happy! As for my government class, I was really stressing about it, because before it, I was almost failing the class and I really didn't want to have to retake it, but I got an 85%! I was SUPER surprised, and so thankful!!! We took our final in our math class last night and I felt pretty shitty about it like 3/4 of the way through...i kept chugging along and then finally, after I answered all of the questions, I went back through my test. Then I asked my professor a question...and another...and another. And I'm so glad I did because he was SUPPPER helpful! He basically told me how to do everything I asked, even though he was basically giving me the answers. He was a really great professor, and after that, I felt sooo much better about the exam! I had to get an 84% or higher on the final to pass the class with an A and I really think I'm going to!

This morning I took my mom's dog to the vet, then went to Old Navy to look at their baby clothes and their dresses. I didn't find any cute baby clothes, and I tried on 3 dresses...all too big! I went to Target and got a pack of 3 sleep suits and 2 blankets for the baby. I want a new dress to wear to my sister's graduation next week, but I've looked like all over and haven't found anything!

I seriously haven't stopped thinking about Carmella since Tuesday, I've got a serious case of baby fever! I can't wait to see her precious little face! I'm supposed to go visit them this afternoon, but we'll see. If not today, definitely tomorrow!

Today I'm just hanging out at home for the rest of the afternoon. It's Thursday, which means my favorite night of the week...yoga/Pom's/hanging out, but I just found out that there's supposed to be a special guest instructor teaching the class tonight and idk how I feel about that... =/ We'll see!

Last Day of School!

Today I took my last 2 finals. No more school for the next week and a half! Woooooo!

Happy Birthday Carmella!

Today I experienced child birth for the first time in my life.

I woke up at 4:30am to go to the hospital to be with my friend during her delivery. She went to the hospital at midnight last night to be induced and told me the doctor was coming in at 6am to break her water, so I wanted to make sure I was there before, just in case things went fast! I got there around 5:25am and headed up to her room. She looked great, of course, even though she hadn't slept much at all. She got her epidural not too long after I got there, but the doctor didn't show up until about 7am to break her water. After he did that, we (me, her best friend, and her cousin) all rested for a while. Around 9am we were all up and just hanging out in her room, talking and watching tv. Her contractions started to get a little more intense, and last for minutes at a time. The nurse told her she would be back around 10:30am for another check, and when she came back, she was fully dilated, and ready to go! We waited for the doctor to come back and at exactly 11:10am little baby Carmella was born! It was the most intense thing I've ever experienced, and I've come down with baby fever since leaving the hospital. She was 7 pounds and 2 ounces; 20 inches long, and absolutely precious. I can't wait to see her again and I'm really looking forward to not having any school next week because I now I can spend a lot of time with her!

Weekend Recap!

I didn't share much about my weekend while it was here, so now I will :]

Friday we went to yoga after V got off of work and then decided to go to dinner at Brio. It was DELICIOUS! I got the crab cakes which were everything and more than I was hoping for! After dinner we just hung out at home for the rest of the evening.

Saturday V worked and I went to bfast with my aunt and cousin, then went with them to Target to buy new bed stuff. After spending the morning with them, I headed to Publix to buy ingredients to make bunny rice crispy treats! I pictured an adorable little bunny face in my head, but what came out after I put it together was the complete opposite. Don't believe me?

I was hoping it would be a lot cuter. I ended up cutting the rest of the rice crispy treats into squares...they were still delicious...just not as festive!

After I made those, I went to the movies with my friend Amby to see Water for Elephants. Best movie I've seen in a LONG time! I wasn't expecting it to be very good, honestly. I was just going to see it because of Robert Pattinson! I was like "a movie about a circus? Hmm...."Then it sucked me in...and didn't let go until it was over. It was a mix between the movie being really good, and Robert Pattinson being the main character. *eeeeeep*

After the movie, I stopped by Amby's apartment and visited with her and her pups, then headed to Publix yet again to buy stuff for dinner. We had a few friends over for shrimp tacos and egg dyeing!

Then Sunday was Easter. We started off the morning at bfast with my parents at Boma. After we ate we went outside to visit some of the animals and take some Easter pictures:

After that was over, me and V went back to my parents to get our Easter baskets. We got a new candle, some hand soap and chocolates! We hung out there for a little while and then headed to my sister's house so her fiance and my V could go hit some golf balls. After that, we headed home to hang out with the dogs for about an hour, and then went off to his parents for dinner! Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of everyone together, but before we ate, V's mom insisted on getting a picture of the table with all the DELICIOUS food. Me and his grandparents were the only ones seated at the table!

See that mountain of meat in the middle of the table? Best smoked chicken and ribs in the world! His dad can smoke meat like no one's business. And the bowl in front of me? Full of the best potato salad made by his grandma. YUM!

We visited with his family for a while and then headed home around 7. We spent the remainder of the holiday sitting on the couch eating candy and watching How Do You Know. Definitely not as good as Water for Elephants, but it was interesting watching both so close together because Reese Witherspoon is the main lady in both, but played completely different characters!

Now the week has begun. Tonight we're going to yoga and then V is taking his final for government. I'm going to take it tomorrow, then we have our math final Wednesday night, and after that I'll have one more left for my education class. I haven't decided when I'm going to take that yet, but it will most likely be tomorrow, so I'll have everything done by Wednesday. Next week there is NO SCHOOL, and then the following week summer classes start! I'm going to be bored out of my mind all next week! But I will certainly be happy with this semester ending!

Credit Score!

I got my credit score today from FreeCreditReport.com and now I'm on the phone with them canceling my membership so I won't be charged $14.95 a month. But I got my score for a buck! It's 670, which is apparently pretty average. I guess the higher the number, the better. I have a little over $7,000 in debt which isn't too bad, I don't think!

Now I'm watching Rain Man, kind of cleaning the house...every once in a while, and doing some laundry. Hanging out at the house today. Hopefully going out for sushi tonight and going bowling! I love bowling!! I'm super excited!

Easter is on Sunday and I want a cute Easter outfit to wear, but I haven't come up with one yet. We're going to breakfast with my parents, and then V wants to pressure wash the house, and then we need to visit V's parents and grandparents. I also want to make some bunny shaped rice crispy treats!

Unpacking

Today I spent time with my cousin, helping her move a few things and unpack. Oh and cleaning!

I have all my homework done for the week, and yesterday I finished my LAST assignment for comp II. It was kind of sad...my last English class at Valencia! Next semester I'll be taking Human Biology, Intro to Humanities, College Algebra and ASL I.

I believe I was about 19 in this picture. I really like how my bangs look...and I think the length of my hair is really pretty too, but I don't think I could cut that much off!

Busy Monday!

This morning I woke up and went to Publix...bought our produce and got myself a chocolate donut :] Came home and put away the groceries and then headed out to Walmart to get everything else on the grocery list. After Walmart I stopped at Kohl's and bought myself a new shirt, and looked for a golf shirt for V. I didn't end up getting his there because they were all like $25, and I knew I could find a cheaper one at Ross. So I went home and put away those groceries and went back out to Ross. I found him a super nice golf shirt made by Nike, that retails at $60, and I got it at Ross for $19.99! What a steal! After my shopping extravaganza wrapped up, I came home and had myself some leftover deep dish pizza from BJ's Brewhouse. We went there for dinner last night because I was craving pizza and theirs is SO good! I got a white onion and roasted garlic pizzer and V got a BBQ chicken one. They were both delicious at the time, and leftover!

Tonight we have school for the last Monday night ever! Next Monday we don't have class because our professor's other math class will be taking their final, and then Wednesday we have our final (yikes!). Spring classes are wrapping up and I'm super excited about the summer term starting!

Nothing Important, Just Babbling

I realized today that I don't have any followers because I don't have a baby! All the really popular blogs with lots of followers are about babies/toddlers. I don't have any children, so I don't have any followers! No one wants to hear about my boring life!

Anyways...today me and V went to get V a haircut and then went to Hot Dog Heaven for lunch! It was delicious, as usual. After that we hung out at the house, it was marvelous :]

This evening I went to celebrate J.Mo's birthday. I made her some red velvet cupcakes and got her some banana perfume. I found out a few weeks ago that she loves everything banana, so I decided to get her some perfume! It was hard to find, but after searching, I found a seller on Etsy that made some, and it really smells like banana!

I'm still sick...feeling better today than I felt yesterday, but still meh. My nose is super stuffed and it's really starting to get on my nerves! Only being able to breathe through half of one nostril is not cool. I have to breathe through my mouth and it's making my mouth all dry! I'm also all achy...my shoulders, my neck, my face. Not.Fun. I better not get sick after this for a looooong time!

I guess thats all for now...it's 11:33 and I'm not tired at all!

You know how everyone goes through phases throughout middle and/or high school? Mine was pretty extreme, and I'm going to share it with you!

The two first years of middle school I was pretty normal...this may seem weird but I can remember every outfit I wore on the first day of school from 6th-12th grade. So 6th grade I was a little on the sporty/outdoorsy side and I wore these blue Nike athletic shorts with a neon green check across the butt and a gray Nike t-shirt (and Nike shoes, of course!). 7th grade I wore these khaki Abercrombie&Fitch shorts and a red Hurley t-shirt. 8th grade was the beginning of my phase, the year started out on the normal-ish side, and I wore these navy blue Hurley bermuda shorts with a white Hurley t-shirt that had a small bright pink and green Hurley symbol on the front. 9th grade I was spikeynuthead-ed out and wore navy blue boy's Dickie shorts and a Five Iron Frenzy t-shirt (me and my boyfriend at the time, George, went to see them (my very first concert!) at a church that his mom dropped us off at, lol!). 10th grade I was going back to a normal Jessica and I wore jeans and this weird material floral print shirt (and this pair underwear (that I still have, might I add!) that I bought (with my best friend at the time, who also bought the same pair), they said "Luckies" across the butt and the "U" was a horseshoe). 11th grade I was getting a little more preppy and I wore these white cargo bermuda shorts from Hollister that tied at the bottom and the ties were a pretty floral print and I had this little pink tank top that had a white lace trim around the straps, that I thought looked really cute with the shorts. 12th grade I was like a lot preppier and wore this flowery mini skirt and a fitted yellow shirt. I remember that skirt being so short!

Now, you might be wondering "what is this spikeynuthead" she keeps referring to? Spikeynuthead was the email address I created for myself when I was punked. It was spikeynuthead@yahoo.com, I'm still registered through AIM with it, but I have no idea what the password is.

About half way through 7th grade, I decided to cut my beautiful shoulder blade-length hair, similar to my sister's hair because I thought she was awesome.

Yep. Believe it or not, that little round-faced girl is me. The boy next to me was my ex-boyfriend, his name was Ben. He broke up with me after I cut my hair off (lol!) but we stayed good friends throughout middle school.

I started dating this boy named George at the beginning of 8th grade, and we stayed together throughout 8th grade and for a little bit of the beginning of 9th grade. He's the one who turned me into spikeynuthead.

I wore a lot of Hurley, Dickies, and Volcom and I wanted to learn to skateboard. I also wore a necklace that had one of his guitar pics on it. Oh and I had braces, as if I didn't look bad enough!

This is what I wore to our 8th grade dance...and I had these black and white Adidas shoes on my feet. Classic. The tie was George's, of course.

Me and my close group of friends had a dinner club (which we referred to as "DC"). Here's a picture from one of our maybe 5 dinners we actually had:

Onto the 9th grade. Big kids school. I was a total badass. When it was picture day, I got my picture taken, and for some reason also got a re-take a couple days later. They posted BOTH of my pictures (which were both so terrible), in the year book. So there was this picture:

"Jessica Green" and then 3 people down, there was this one:

"Jessica Greene" MY GOD, I WAS SO UGLY! I looked like a damn boy! Why Jessica...why?!?!

Not long after picture day, I broke up with George and started turning my back on spikeynuthead. By the end of the 9th grade, my hair started to grow out, and I was wearing girls clothes again:

Oh, and I got my braces off! Here I'm wearing my retainer though. (ew!)

10th grade I discovered marching band (and color guard!), and became a band geek...

But at least my hair was longer and I wasn't wearing my retainer in public!

11th grade, like I previously stated, I started going preppy. At least this picture isn't embarrassing...except maybe for my crunchy hair (lol).

Thankfully, by my senior year, I had things figured out (a little). Senior picture is the most important, right? The one that's in color...the one that everyone will remember you by (HOPEFULLY!). I'm happy to share with you that I don't regret my senior picture, although it would have been a lot cuter if my part had been to the side instead of straight down the middle:

I also learned how to smile on command sometime in between my 11th grade picture day, and senior picture day. Thank god.

So now you know my phase. It was awful and no one in my family ever told me I looked good, but I'm glad I got it out of the way when I was younger! Also, now you know why I have a fear of getting my hair cut, lol. I never want to look anything like spikeynuthead ever again!!!

Also! I got under 120 yesterday! I was so surprised to see it when I got on the scale!

Hump Day

It's Wednesday and I've got all my homework for the week done! Yay me :] I went to Hallmark to buy some birthday/congratulatory/Mother's Day cards, and then went to Kohl's because I got a $10 gift card in the mail! I bought this shirt with it, and only paid six bucks for it!

I like it a lot!

I'm going to yoga this afternoon. I usually never go Wednesday afternoons but my favorite instructor is teaching, so I'm going!

I'm coming down with some sort of cold. I noticed it last night during yoga...my throat was a little sore. So I sucked on a Cold Eeez when I got home, and this morning I had another and took some Day-Quil. I'll be taking some Ny-Quil tonight. I'm hoping it will help knock it out before it gets any worse!

Sign Language

I'm taking my first sign language class this summer, on campus, and I'm SO excited!!! Like, I can't wait for next semester to start, just because of this class. I ordered my books last week and one of my two books I need for that class just arrived today!

Air

The new air conditioner is being installed as we speak! I just saw them bring the outside unit out and it's HUGE! Like, I honestly think it's almost 3 times bigger than our other unit that was there. I can't wait until it's all installed and there's icy cold air blowing through the house!

I have to be home while they're installing it, which is supposed to take all day so I started off my day with some school work and laundry. I took 3 quizzes and now I think I might watch Toy Story 3!

Last Night of Heat!

Tomorrow we're getting the ac installed, so it only makes sense that tonight would be the hottest night we've had, right?

Good Day

I spent my morning cleaning the house...vacuuming, cleaning the litter box, doing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and a load of laundry. Then I decided to pay for my summer classes and order my books. I'm taking 4 classes over the summer, 2 of which are with V, so he agreed to pay for those two books. I found out that I need 3 books for one of my classes, and when I looked at the prices of the 3 books total at VCC's bookstore, it was going to be over $350. Then I went to look for them on amazon.com and I got all 3 for $106! After that accomplishment, my good friend came over to hang out and then we went to lunch. She just left and now I'm waiting for V to get home and tonight we're going to the Florida Music Festival with my sister and her fiance!

Last night we went to dinner with V's brother, V's best friend, and my cousin (who V's best friend if dating). After dinner we went to Lil' 500 to drive some go-karts! SO FUN! After go-karting, V suggested we get some Jeremiah's! It was delish!

Mountain Mix

So I just had the Clif Mojo Mountain Mix bar and I didn't like it nearly as much as I liked the Peanut Butter Pretzel one yesterday. It had too much going on. Raisins, chocolate chips, almonds, peanuts, pretzels, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds...just too much! But hey...now I know!

V is home today, but he's got a lot of school work he has to do, so I'm spending the morning watching recorded shows with my Smelly Bell <3
