Birthday Celebration

I want to celebrate my birthday beginning June 1st until the 23rd, when I turn 25. I want to do something special all 22 of those days, and the 23rd will be my birthday party. I saw this thing on Pinterest where a girl did "38 Random Acts of Robyn". I think want to do something similar! 25 years old is a milestone and I'm so happy to be here, enjoying my lovely, happy life and I want to celebrate it!

I think my two favorites that she did was buying a gift card at the grocery store and handing it to the person behind her. Amongst all the other things she was able to do with gift cards (I wish I had more money!). The second thing was the little letter she left for her mailman in the mailbox with a chocolate bar. I definitely want to do that!

I just found this website that gives you Random Acts of Kindness ideas! Definitely will be using this!

Kitchen Cupboard Cleaning

After I got home from grocery shopping this morning I decided to clean out the kitchen cupboards! I threw away a lot of expired food and just random shit that was taking up some much needed space in our limited amount of cupboard space!

I also sewed a button back on one of V's work shirts. I did a pretty solid job and I'm quite proud of myself! I'm interested to see how long it holds up!

I have like 28 questions of chapter 4 homework for Deaf Culture that I need to do, but I keep putting it off. I was gonna do it after I finished cleaning the cupboards, but then I decided to eat lunch and watch the last episode of 16 and Pregnant. Then I was gonna do it after, but instead I decided to sew V's button. Now I'm done and I'm blogging! I figure I still have a little while before V will be home (which is when I like to be done with my homework). I do want to get it done today though, so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow! 

It's already almost JUNE, can you believe it?!?!?!

Lazy Tuesday

Well today consisted of homework, rain, cloudy skies, laundry, sleeping animals and more homework.

Exactly! Now time for some yoga!

Memorial Day!

This morning we went for a drive and got some donuts from DD. They were delicious! After our ride we came home and watched it rain for a whiiiiiile. It was really nice to just relax and not be in front of the television! It's been storming on and off pretty much all day. I cleaned the house really good and we had V's parents over for dinner. We were going to eat outside, but I didn't want to take the chance of getting rained on, so I moved our bbq inside. It was delicious and I made some cupcakes for dessert!

I realized how many sweet treats I've had today after I made this collage! My oh my. And we're not going to yoga tonight because class is cancelled for the holiday! We're going tomorrow evening instead, and I'm thinking of maybe going in the morning too! Looking at the pictures of all the sweets I ate today is making me feel really fat!

Subtropical Storm, Beryl

Everyone on the news was making a huuuuuge deal about our second named tropical storm of the season, Beryl. Saying how awful the weekend would be after Saturday because of her, blah blah blah!

My morning consisted of laying out in the pool with my sister and the dogs. In the shining cloud, which was up high, in a clear blue sky. 

Then me and V spent the afternoon at a Memorial Day cookout at my cousin's boyfriend's mom's house! I met a few new Deaf people, and enjoyed this delicious lunch outside!

It's now 5:44pm and we're home for the night. Though its a little cloudier than it was this morning, we have still yet to see more than about 10 sprinkles a little earlier. We're going to take the dogs for a nice walk later and then enjoy a nice quite evening at home. Together :]

One Saturday Morning!

This morning me and Lacey got up early to meet my sister and her dog Millie, along with my cousin and baby Maddox to go for a walk around Lake Eola!

There were TONS of new baby swans and ducks all around. It was so adorable to see all of them! I wish I could have taken more pictures, but it's pretty impossible to take pictures when I'm trying to control Lacey on the other end of the leash in my hand. 

She enjoyed the walk, of course, and is exhausted! 

Later this afternoon we're going to my parents house for a Memorial Day cookout. Should be nice!

HI-YA!

Well, it's official! I'm signed up for a karate class at Valencia! I figure if I end up hating it I can always drop it! It's once a week on Fridays and I was considering taking a yoga class instead, but the karate class is on the day when I have nothing going on, and yoga would have been on Mondays and Wednesdays which is when I already do yoga at my studio! Woo!

Today I'm watching Carmella again! We had a little dance sesh this morning and I got her on video. She loves to listen to music!

Deaf for a Day

Today I'm doing an assignment for my Deaf culture class where I have to be Deaf for the day. I went to brunch this morning to meet my Deaf friend for the first time, and she's awesome! We had a lovely time, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with her more in the future!

After brunch, I stopped at my mom's house and gave her money for my car insurance. We chatted a little on paper, but I didn't stay long. After that I went to Publix to pick up a prescription for V's ear infection and the girl at the counter was super nice! She knew her alphabet, so she tried to fingerspell everything she wanted to tell me. It worked, and we each got our points across. Since then I've been home.

I think my least favorite part about it is not being able to listen to music. I never realized how often I listen to music; when I'm getting ready in the mornings, in the car, while I do my homework, while I clean the house, when I lay out in the backyard. It also sucks not getting to watch tv, but it gives me an excuse to start reading Mockingjay! 

I read the first chapter last week, the night that I barfed, and hadn't read anymore since. Now that I have no homework that I want to do (I literally have 4 assignments left in my biology class), I'm getting comfy on the couch and I'm going to read until V gets home. I'm not quite sure what we're going to do about watching tv tonight because I know he's gonna want to watch it, and I can't! We'll seeeee!

Homework Day!

I took my first exam in my biology class and got a 94%! Yay! I freaking LOVE that class! It's so easy, and quite interesting! I'm thinking I'm going to do some more work for that class and then start on my psychology class, and then do some homework for my Deaf culture class.

New Glassies?

I'm feeling MUCH better today, and I'm so glad! V's back at work, and this morning I met my parents for bfast. After we ate, my mom and I went for a walk around Park Avenue because I wanted to get some fresh air! We stopped at a couple eyeglass places so I could see if I could find a new pair of frames! I feel like it's time for a new pair, since I've had the same ones since 2005! So I found one pair, but they were $350 (PLUS $99 for non-glare, which I def need), and they didn't accept my insurance. So not happening! I can't afford that! We went to another place and I found another pair, and they accept our insurance, so I could get them for like $60!

I didn't want to cheese because the sales associate was standing right behind me, lol. I sent this picture to V, Savannah and Alicia. I asked V if he liked them and he said "not really". Savannah said they looked a little big, and Alicia said she liked them...so many different reactions! My mom really liked them, and I think I did too! I think I want to bring V to the place with me to see them on me IRL to get a better opinion. I'm going to get an eye exam next week, so I'm really thinking I might end up getting some new glasses pretty soon! Eeeeep! I'm excited! 

The more I look at that picture, the more I think I like them. 

After our little outing I came home and washed our bedding, cleaned the bathroom and kept down my breakfast and a grilled cheese that I had for lunch! Hooray! I feel much better, and I like that the house is nice and clean because I felt like it was a little stale from us both being all sick last night. Now it's clean and smelling fresh! 

Savannah stopped by to visit before she had to go to school and brought me flowers! SO SWEET!!!!

I can't quite decide if I should go to yoga tonight or put it off until tomorrow. I'm thinking of putting it off just to be safe. I'm still a little weak from a lack of nutrients and I don't want to have a bad class!

Sick Household

Yesterday evening around 6:30/7 I started feeling awful. Nauseous. It wouldn't go away, so I took some Pepto Bismol, hoping the pink shit would help. It didn't. V got home from work around 7:45 or so, and about 5 minutes after he arrived, I puked up my whole lunch. It was AWFUL. I don't know if you know, blog, but this girl absolutely hates throwing up. Immediately after I felt better, but when about 5 minutes after that, things started going downhill again. I was feeling nauseous and had these awful gassy pains in my belly and underneath my ribs. I lasted on the couch until just before 10 o'clock and then went to bed, hoping things would clear up with a nice night's sleep. WRONG! I didn't sleep much at all, and V woke up around 1:30 puking.

Apparently I caught some sort of 24 hour stomach bug, and thankfully, today at 5:12, I'm feeling better. I haven't had anything to eat since yesterday around 2 and I'm hoping when I eat some toastie later, we won't have any problems.

My mom came over this morning to take care of us. We were a pitiful couple. Could barely get out of bed! She brought us ginger ale and Gatorade, and was going to bring V to his doctor's appointment, but he started feeling better this afternoon and drove himself. She stayed with me and picked up a prescription that my doctor called in for me. I'm so glad it didn't last longer than one night because I don't know what I would have done!

I look fairly lousy, but feel considerably better! 

Epcot: Flower and Garden Festival

Today I went to Epcot with my mom, Alicia and Maddox to see the flower and garden festival! It was lovely until it started to get hot...I was really expecting the clouds to be out much more than they were! I totally forgot to put sunscreen on until we freaking got there, so now I have a nice tank-top sunburn on my shoulders. SUPER! I'm going to the beach tomorrow, so hopefully I can get rid of it!

Happy Mother's Day!

This morning we went to my parents house for breakfast and I have to say, sadly, that we didn't take a single picture with my mom! After breakfast, when we got home, I had a surprise at my front door from my wonderful friend, Kimmie. She is SO thoughtful and I was so caught off guard because I didn't even know she was in town! I guess she stopped by to see me when we were at my parents house! 

SO SWEET! Before we went to lunch at V's parent's house, I visited with Kimmie and my sweet goddaughter for a little bit! 

Her pretty Mother's Day dress came off when she was eating her homemade ravioli! She is such a little princess! 

Then we went to V's parents house to visit with his mom, aunt and grandma. It was nice to see them all! After that we came home and hung out for a little bit and then went to visit my favorite new mom of 2012!

Bye Bye, Fridge!

Yesterday we were about to leave to go have dinner at my cousin's house and V noticed as he was getting beer out of the refrigerator that it smelled like something was burning. He looked behind the fridge and saw smoke! So he pulled it out and unplugged it to see that the plug was like melted. Needless to say we left it unplugged, and today we bought a new fridge! It's getting delivered on Monday, so for the time being most of our food is at V's parents house, and some is in coolers with ice.

I spent the morning with my mom running errands. Don't worry, I still have my glasses. I had just taken off my sunglasses and hadn't put my glasses back on :]

Working Ahead...Like a Boss!

My biology professor sent out this email earlier this week:

SO WONDERFUL! I'm totally going to finish this class in like a month....maybe less! Basically the same thing is happening in my Deaf Culture class, but that class has a ton more assignments than my biology class! My biology class consists of 8 quizzes and 4 tests. No discussions, assignments, papers or ANYTHING! I couldn't have asked for a better professor! My DC class on the other hand is full of shit! Weekly homework (consisting of 50-60 questions, thankfully we are assigned a homework partner), papers, quizzes, and tests. A girl from my ASL II and III class though is in DC with me, and we've decided to be homework partners, work ahead of time, and get everything done early! Then I'll be able to focus on my psychology class because I think it's going to take a lot!

I got all my Mother's Day shopping finished today. And I'm going to an early yoga class because V's been feeling a little out of sorts, so he wants to take it easy tonight. 

Flower

I went to visit my dear sweet friend Savannah at her work today. I brought her lunch and we ate together. It was nice to see her, I miss not getting to see her on a regular basis!

I got sent home with an orchid for my hair <3 I love flowers, they make me so happy! They're so pretty and they smell so good! I cannot even remember the last time I got flowers...I think it may have been for my 22nd birthday. My sister sent them to me at my work when we both worked downtown. It was so sweet!

Jessicat Reads

I didn't do too much today. Woke up, cleaned and did a little homework, babysat for like 6 hours, came home and read. I'm a little over half of the way through Catching Fire, for those of you who didn't know I started reading the Hunger Games trilogy a few weeks ago.

This is how I read at night. A lamp added to the arm of the couch for extra light right where I need it, my favorite reusable plastic cup with  straw - filled with water, and my favorite spot on the couch (next to my love, who I politely asked to photograph this picture).

Summer School Begins!

Well, today summer school started! I took two quizzes already, one in my biology class that I got a 100% on (yay me!), and the other in my psychology class that was labeled as a "pre-test", and I thought it would be like a quiz on the syllabus...WRONG! It was on chapter 1 and some of 2, and it was 10 questions long, and we only had TEN MINUTES to finish it! I got a 70%. Not too bad. I have a really good feeling about my biology class though! My other class is Deaf culture and I think it's going to be pretty easy too! Just lots of homework (about 60 questions a week, that we're supposed to do with a partner, but I'm not good with trusting other people to get me a good grade).

There's a bird building a nest inside the cinder blocks that hold up our carport. There was a bird who did the same thing last year, but I didn't pay as much of attention to it, so maybe it was the same bird! I decided to name her, and I'm going to buy her some bird seed when I go grocery shopping and make her a little bird feeder.

I'm looking forward to when her little babies are born because last year I could hear their tiny little tweets! It was so adorable!

Today I made some more strawberry sorbet, but this time I made it into popsicles! They are delicious! The little popsicle molds that I have were filled, and I still had some left, so I decided to pour it into some shot glasses and stick a skewer into them for mini popsicles! 

And for a smile, my sweet sweet princesses cuddling this morning! <3 I love them so much!!

To the Beach...AGAINNNN!!!!

Yes. That's right. I went to the beach again. The 3rd time in the past 6 days! And I think I'll be going again this weekend! My mom and I talked about maybe doing a once-a-week beach trip all summer long since I'm only taking online classes!

While we were there we also saw a wedding. It was very short, and yes, there were only 5 people total. And a little girl spectator, lol. 

It didn't seem very special at all, but to each their own!
