Strawberries Day #1!

I decided to plant my strawberry seeds today! I'm hoping the sun will be back out tomorrow because they need sun! I'm excited to see their progress and I'll be blogging it!

So here we are, freshly planted on day 1:

I kept the part of the package that has the directions on it because I don't want to forget anything! When they're 2-3" I'm supposed to start putting some regular plant fertilizer on them so I'll need to get some. They're supposed to start sprouting in 7-10 days! Ahh! I'm super excited!

Rain Rain Raaaaain

Yesterday evening it stormed REALLY bad for a solid half hour. Then started again at some point after we went to sleep last night and it's been raining on and off (when I say raining, I mean like pouring + super strong winds) since about 6:45 this morning when I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep! I got up with V and packed his lunch, then I was too scared to go back to sleep. Our pool is literally about to overflow:

And it's not going to stop raining anytime soon...

All that shit is moving from west to east, straight over Orlando. What do I do if the pool does overflow?!

I've been up laying on the couch, watching the news...then I watched the season finale of Teen Mom 2. I ate some blueberry eggos after that was over and started watching Monsters Inc., but then changed it to the news to see what was going on. I have absolutely nothing to do today (thankfully), but I'm so bored and it's only 11am! Ellie is terrified of rain/thunder/lightening, so she's been hiding under my bed since I woke up. Poor thing!

I guess I'll just stay put...maybe take a nap? Hopefully all this crap will be gone by this evening because I do not want to miss yoga tonight!

I'm Not Calling You a Liar

I've been really into this song lately! I heard it last week on the Pretty Little Liars season finale and I've listened to it like everyday since.

Remember all that school work I was complaining talking about yesterday? Well it's all done. Before noon...today. The module I was most stressed about for my government class turned out to be really simple! I was worried about the essay, but it was actually easy peasy...yay!

Now I'm getting ready to go to my sister's house and we're going to meet my parents and have lunch. When I come home I'll probably plant my avocado seed and start on my strawberry growing kit (I'm totally going to blog about the progress!), and then I'm going to study for my math test tonight. BLAH!

SO.MUCH.HOMEWORK

From 9:45 this morning until 1:30pm, I was doing school work. I have everything for my education class and my comp II class done for the week, and all I have left for my government class is an essay. I was going to write it but I'm confused as to what exactly it's supposed to include, so I'm waiting a reply to the email I sent.

Tonight before yoga me and V will be studying for our math test we have tomorrow night. We have to do better on it than our other tests because our math teacher takes our lowest grade out of the 4 (three regular tests and our final exam) and replaces it with a higher grade. On my first test I got an 80, second I got an 83 so I'd like to get an 80 or higher on this one just in case I bomb my final (which better not happen), it will get replaced with an 80 or higher. I'm pretty sure I'll be passing that class with an A. My comp II class I should be getting an A, my education class will hopefully be an A, but I've been struggling with a high B (89) and low A (91). Then in my government class, everything except for my midterm I've had an A on (94 or higher), but I'm pretty sure I bombed the midterm...so I won't be surprised if I get a B in that class. Over the summer I'm taking college algebra, introduction to humanities, ASL and human biology. I'm taking them all online except for ASL because it's only given on campus. I'm super excited about that class, fo sho!

I've been in my pajamas all day today. I had them off for like 5 minutes to try on my new bathing suit that I just got in the mail and it's SO cute and fits SO perfectly! I can't wait to wear it! It's still super overcast, but it hasn't rained yet today. My picture for today is from our pool day/cook out on Sunday. My sister and her bf came over to swim and have dinner. We made shrimp tacos and they were SO GOOD!!!

He's so flippin adorable!

Rainy Monday

This morning I went to yoga with my sister (after a LOT on convincing). I think she did really well she I thought she was having a good time, but after class was over she said it was too long and she wouldn't do it again. Oh well. After yoga, I went home and got cleaned up and met my sister back at her house for lunch and some errand-running. We ate, went to Home Depot, where I purchased some potting soil and a strawberry growing kit (both of which I left in her car, darn it!). I bought the potting soil because I'm going to plant an avocado seed and see if I can grow a tree! Then we went to Walmart where I bought random bathroom items we were in need of, and a big pot to put my avocado seed in.

Now I'm home...about to take some quizzes for government. It's been raining non-stop (literally) since I woke up this morning. And before the fact because Ellie woke me up scratching on the door at like 5:30 because it was raining and she's afraid of it for some reason.

Almost Forgot!

We had a busy day and I almost forgot to post my picture, so here I am, fresh out of the shower, with my hair up in a twisty towel that my sister got me for Christmas like 4 years ago!

SushiPOP!

Last night the boys went to a Magic basketball game, and me, my sister and my loyal follower J.Mo went to SushiPop! It was the best sushi experience I've ever had!!! I took a good amount of pictures just for my blog!

Our place settings, so simple and cute!

The lamps reminded me of squids! It was decorated with anime all over, and playing on every television!

We started off with some sautéed shichimi pepper and garlic edamame which was SPICY but delicious!

J.Mo got some warm sake and my sister got a glass of wine

She tried on this waitress' glasses, I thought they looked cute!

Me & my poor fair skinned sister. She went to the Wine & Dine on 9 earlier in the day and wasn't even there for 2 hours (and put sunscreen on!) and still got SO burnt!

I got a coconut shrimp roll and an avocado roll (which I don't have a good picture of, sorry!), but it was the most amazing roll I've ever had. IN.MY.LIFE.

So excited to eat!

My friend J.Mo loves bananas. When she saw they had a bananarama roll which consisted of eel, tempura flakes, lump crab and avocado, topped with sliced bananas, honey and toasted sesame seeds, she had to get it. I honestly thought I was going to see tears come with this face, she was so in love. I had a piece and I have to admit, I was a little skeptical but it was SO GROOD

My sister got a shrimp tempura roll and an asparagus roll (which I didn't get to try because she scarfed it down before I even knew she had it!). They had soy sauce in these little droppers so they were easily controlled! So clever. She was very excited about them.

I had to get this dessert. It was apple fritters: 5 spice apple fritters, topped with cinnamon cream cheese, maple ginger ice cream, and candied bacon.

I shared, of course!

You see there...that piece of bacon on top of the ice cream? The most amazing sliver of bacon I've had in my life, and I know I use that phrase loosely (V pointed that out to me a few weeks ago), but I really mean it about this bacon. The ice cream was amazing; made from scratch! The fritters were yum-o and the cream cheese that is under the fritters? So good I was wiping it off the plate with my finger so I didn't miss any.

All in all, I would rate this place two thumbs, and two big toes up. five stars. Super service, energetic atmosphere (like, I really don't think you could go there any NOT have a good time), and AMAZING food! My sister and J.Mo are going back next weekend when my other sister is in town, but I think me and V are going to V's grandparents house for their 62nd anniversary party, so I'm trying to get them to go another day instead, so I can go again, and so V can experience it!

After we finished eating, we picked up J.Mo's baby, and headed back to her place to hang out! I cuddled with her kitty, who totes fell in love with me (my sister took pictures, but I don't have them from her yet!).

Excuse the quality of this photo. I had my camera set to "smart" which is supposed to like automatically detect what it should use, and it definitely needed a flash, but didn't use one, so this is what I got after playing with it on Picnik

I had a super Friday night, the only thing that would have made it better is if V had been there <3

This morning V had to go to work and I was planning on waking up when he did to get ready for yoga. I didn't even hear him get up (and I almost always do), so I didn't wake up until he left for work at 7:20 and I was planning on leaving for yoga at 7:30! I was sooooo tired, but I dragged myself out of bed, let the dogs out, made my water and put on my yoga clothes and was out the door by 7:33. Not bad! I'm really glad I went (of course!), and when I got home I decided to cut the grass for V.

That's me under there, believe it or not. I like to wear a hat so the sun stays out of my face, and I wear sunglasses because shit flies around when I cut the grass because most of the back yard is dirt! Tube socks so my legs don't get all dirty, and this was my first time wearing my crocs. I bought them a long time ago when I worked at a doggie daycare and kept them in my trunk for a long time. I decided to wear them because if I stepped in poop, I could just hose them off and go on my way. Instead, they ended up not protecting my toes at all and after I was done, my feet were super dirty! Oh well. I only cut the back yard because the height on the mower has to be changed for the front yard and I think I did it right, but I didn't want to try because once I mowed the front lawn when the height was set for the back yard and I didn't know it, and I like butchered the front lawn! So I left that for V to do when he gets home from work this evening.

Now I'm going to go watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid because it came in the mail today from NetFlix, woo!

Portfolio

Today I'll be spending most of my day working on my portfolio. It's not due until next Friday, but I have a LOT of schoolwork that is due next Friday, so I wanted to try and get some of it done today so next week doesn't completely suck. V is off work today, but he's also spending his day doing schoolwork. I'm working in the living room on the couch with the laptop and I let him have the desk and desktop. I'm jealous...not gonna lie! There's just more space in there, on the desk, and the monitor, but whatevs.

This is probably what I'm going to look like until I change my clothes to go for sushi tonight!

Poetry

My new module for my comp II class is on poetry. I hate poetry. It's confusing and it makes me angry! This might have something to do with the fact that my 10th grade english teacher totally humiliated me in front of my entire class when I was reading a poem. The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. She waited until I was finished reading the poem and then told me that I read it completely wrong and that I needed to go home and practice it to read again the next day. Ever since then I've been totally against poems, aside from Dr. Seuss. Now we have to read 2 poems and pick one to write a paragraph about what we thing the main idea is. Neither of the poems make any sense to me...I'm reading our PowerPoint lecture about poems and it's saying "before you read the poem, consider the title" because it's the "almost always informative". Well one of the poems' title isn't even in English! I was going to pick that one until I read it (immediately liked it because it was the shorter of the 2), but after reading it, it makes even less sense to me than the other one did! I want to finish this today because it's due Monday night and I don't want to have to worry about it tomorrow or on the weekend, but shit. It's so confusing!!!!

On a happier note: I bought some new floats for the pool this morning! A really nice looking one for me to lay out on, it was called the "suntanner"...perfect. One for V that he wanted. It was the same one he had last summer and he really liked it so he asked me to see if they had anything similar and they had the exact same one! And one other one that's like a recliner...it looks awesome and it's huge! Then I remembered that my sister bought us a blow-up jousting set AND an inflatable pool cooler for Christmas, woo! This summer is going to be bomb!

Sunshine

I went to do my observation this morning and I'm glad they're all done with now! I just have to put it together now before next Friday. I tried working on my reflection paper when I got home today and I couldn't do it. I just wasn't in to it so I didn't want to force myself because if I had, it probably would have really sucked. After I gave up on that, I decided to do my government mid term...that was a mistake! It was 10 short answer questions and we had 75 minutes to finish it. NOT LONG ENOUGH. I was so flustered when I realized I had taken up half of my time and I had only done 3 questions. I won't be surprised if I get like a C, honestly. Whatevs!

After I finished that disaster, I decided to lay out. Great choice, if I do say so myself. It was absolutely gorgeous outside!

Excuse my shiny nose and cheek, lol.

So I don't know if I've mentioned how huge of a fan I am of Twilight but if I haven't well...OMG. I <3 Edward. I have a sticker on my car that says "stupid lamb". Yep...I'm one of those girls. I can't tell you how many times I've watched Twilight, New Moon, or Eclipse, or how many times I've read Twilight and Breaking Dawn. Twilight is definitely my favorite movie and book from the series but holy CRAP am I excited to see Breaking Dawn! It comes out November 18th, I believe...it's going to be a 2 part movie and the second one won't be coming out until November of 2012! Gah! I have to admit to you that I'm really glad V isn't home every time I think about the movie coming out because I have like this mini freak out and I'd be embarrassed if anyone besides the dogs saw me! Lol

Speaking of dogs, my sweet sweet Ellie is currently asleep on me.

I love her so.

HEAT

My oh my it's warm. I just looked at my weather calendar on my dashboard and it says Sunday's high is 91! YIKES.

I spent my morning doing some school work and then watched My Name is Khan for my extra credit assignment in my education class. It was actually a lot better than I was expecting! I enjoyed it. I put it in the mailbox to be sent back to Netflix so I can get my next movie, but I guess I missed the mailman because the flag on the mailbox is still up. Shucks.

Tomorrow I'm going to my sister's school to observe a class with a couple of ESOL students in it for my portfolio in my education class. It's due next Friday and I was going to go do my observation next week, but my sister reminded me that next week is spring break for public schools so I had to email the teacher and hope she would let me come in on such short notice, and she said yes! Yay!

I was planning on making a longer post but my hands are getting really sweaty resting on my desk while I type so forget it!

It's a good thing it's not bad to drink a ton of water because it's the only thing that keeps me cool!

Busy Morning!

This morning I woke up and went to yoga. After yoga I went to Whole Foods to get some fruit and I got V a surprise salmon sammie :] Then I dropped that stuff off at the house and went to Walmart to get some random house things. After I finally got home at like 1, I decided to lay out. I spent about an hour outside and then came in, cleaned up some things in the house and made myself a pb&j for lunch.

I finally decided to do some school work, so since about 3, I've been taking quizzes. I'm only doing one more for today and I'm currently taking it. Haha.

I signed up for Netflix the other day because they have a 1 month free promotion thing going on and there's this extra credit that I want to do for my education class, and it includes watching a movie (My Name is Khan, which I'm pretty sure has subtitles...LAME) and writing a 1-2 page paper about it, relating it to some chapters in our book. I think it's like almost 3 hours long, so I need to like plan when to watch it because it's going to take a lot of time! After I send that dumb movie back, I've got some goodies lined up on my queue...including: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, Ramona and Beezus, and Coraline. Yeah, I like to watch kids movies...what's it to ya?! I've been wanting to see Toy Story 3, but every time we went on to buy a movie on the DVR, V never wanted to watch it. Finally, last weekend he agreed, but it wouldn't work! So I tried him again yesterday, and he said yes again...but it was GONE! So hopefully I'll get to watch at least those 5 movies before my free month is up! I really want to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid because I keep seeing the preview for the second one and it looks hilarious, but I can't go see that if I haven't seen the first one!

Lately I've enjoyed washing my hair in the middle of the day because it seems to keep me a tad cooler when it gets the hottest in the house, lol. Oh, I can't wait until we get a new air conditioner!

Sunday

We went to my parents house for breakfast this morning. On the way home we stopped at Publix and did our grocery shopping. Now it's not even 11 and we're home for the day; perfect. We don't have anything else to do all day and V says the pool feels amazing and that he thinks today will be a perfect day to swim. I'll have to stick my foot in and figure that one out for myself, because I just jumped in there on like Thursday and it was like a bucket of ice!

Me & my Ellie :]

Last night the moon was like 14% closer than it has been in 18 years and I think it ruined my sleep. We went to bed at like 10:45 or 11 and I woke up at 11:55, 1:59, 2:45, 6:28 and then to get up for breakfast at 8:30. I haven't had that bad of a night in a LONG time. At least a year or more (aside from when I had that headache and just couldn't fall asleep). But I'm convinced it was because of the moon.

It's Getting Hot In Here...

Boy oh boy! Today's a warm one, and from here on out, it's just getting warmer! By the middle of next week it's going to be pushing 90. And we don't have ac....

It's tolerable at night, with our ceiling fan, and I'm assuming within the next couple days we'll be sleeping with just a sheet. During the day it gets a little stuffy, but I guess if I got too hot I could always sit in my car for a little while...or jump in the pool.

This morning I went to yoga and the met my mom for lunch. On the way back from lunch I sat in terrible traffic which sucked, but I made it home. I have no school work to do which is wonderful! Tonight I think we're going to hang out with my sister, which is what we do every Friday night pretty much, but there's nothing wrong with that!

My sister who moved to NY left some of her clothes at my parents house. The outfit I'm wearing in this picture is hers. It's a romper with schnauzers on the top half and the bottom is super wide so it looks like a dress. It's SO adorable, and super comfortable! I think it's going to be a staple for my summer wardrobe!

Homework

I've been working on school related work since I woke up this morning! I spend the first 2 hours of my morning going over the essay for our team project in comp II, creating the works cited page for our essay, and starting the PowerPoint because the girl that volunteered to do it said she was having a hard time getting it started. So I did the first 2 slides for her. After that I printed out my some tax papers to bring to school for my fall financial aid stuff. Now I'm back home and about to get started on the math homework!

Quiz Day!

Today my plan is to take chapter 1-3 quizzes in my Government class, AND my chapter 9(?) quiz in my education class. If I don't take all of them today, I'll do the rest tomorrow morning.

I decided yesterday that this week I'm going to lay out for an hour everyday. I laid out yesterday from 3 to 4 and it was fabulous! The pool looks SO inviting, but the water is still waaay too cold!

I'm hoping I'll be able to take these quizzes without actually having to read the chapters.

Calories

I was just wondering how many calories I took in today, so I did an estimation...somewhere around 900. Then I went online and asked Google how many calories I should be taking in daily, and to maintain my weight, it said 2021, which is a LOT! I'll be treating myself to some of my cinnamon-ey apples tonight and a 1/2 cup of non-fat creamy vanilla ice cream (which still only has 90 calories!) after school!

I'm thinking since I'm so far under what it is to maintain my weight, it will help me lose these extra pounds before the summer!

Busy Day!

This morning I went to yoga, then went to Walmart to get some groceries, and then Publix to get some more groceries (fresh fruit and chicken). Now I just finished eating lunch and I'm going to get this started in the crock pot to munch on this week when I have a craving for something sweet!

School is back in again so this week is going to be busy! I'm going to get my bathing suit on and get comfortable on the lounger by the pool and work on my math homework. It sure was nice not having to go to school all week last week! Ugh! Only like 8 more weeks though, so I can deal with that!

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Weeds

Today I pulled weeds for the first time ever. There are SO many in our front and back yard. I got like 1/6 of the way done in the back yard and had to stop because my back was hurting!

YMCA! My soccer shirt (with my name on the back!) from when I was like 10!

Braves!

We went to a Braves baseball game this afternoon. It was a lot of fun!

Spring Break Day 5

It's Friday! I'm going to yoga this morning and then I'm meeting my dad for lunch. After lunch I need to go by my parents house and pick up some stuff to drop off at Goodwill. Then I'll need to make a stop at the grocery store because V's parents and brother are coming over tomorrow morning for breakfast! I'm looking forward to that, we'll get to spend some time with his family and eat some yummy food!

I finally got a reply from my math teacher with my 2nd test grade....83! Not too bad. 3 points better than my last test. I'm happy with it, I mean of course I would have rather had an A, but I'm on my way! And this is good because at the end of the semester he drops our lowest test grade and replaces it with our highest, so if 80 is my lowest, I'll be happy.

Also! I can't believe how cold it is right now! 47 degrees?!?! I mean, it's a lot nicer than it being really hot because our air still isn't working, but geez louise!

Spring Break Day 4 (RAIN!)

I went to bed last night and it was raining. Woke up this morning...still raining! I was watching the weather while I was making the bed after I woke up and I saw that it's supposed to get down into the 30's tonight! I'm surprised. It's almost the middle of March and we're still getting cold. I'm glad it's coming through though because we're going to a spring training game this weekend and the weather is supposed to be beautiful!

Later today I'm going into my friend's 1st grade class to volunteer for a few hours. I'm looking forward to it! I went in a while ago for an observation for one of my classes and my friend told me the other night that one of her students was asking about me and wondering when I was going to come back in! Aww! How sweet.

This week seems to be going by really fast. It doesn't feel like it should already be Thursday, especially because I thought this week was going to drag because I wouldn't have anything for school to do! Speaking of school...in my comp II class we were assigned this team project like a couple days before spring break started. (Yeah, a team project in an online class; retarded, right?!?!) So me and one other kid from our 5 person team are the only ones who have been logging in over spring break, even though there are things that need to get done. We have to write a paper and make a PowerPoint by next Thursday. So I just emailed the one kid and told him that if we don't hear anything back from the other 3 people by Monday night, I think we should start working on the stuff on our own. I am NOT someone who is going to just not do an assignment; nor am I able to wait til the last minute to turn something in. If it's due on Thursday, I want it submitted like Wednesday evening at the very latest. That's just how I roll. What if you waited til the last minute on Thursday and then something went wrong with your computer? THEN WHAT!

This is where Ellie wants to be when it rains.

Chicken

I ended up not donating. I got all my paperwork filled out, got my finger pricked and then I went to sit down next to Lindsey, who had just finished. I watched her almost pass out and I freaked myself out and ended up not doing it. I know I'm a chicken, say what you want. I'm not afraid of needles, I'm afraid to know what would happen afterwards. I don't like feeling like I'm going to pass out, or passing out (which I've never actually done. Almost did once...like really close, and hated the feeling). After I made my decision not to do it, I saw Lindsey almost puke, and then almost pass out again. After like 30+ minutes of her recovering we went back to her classroom and had our Chick-Fil-A (which I've never had leftover before and I would not recommend it. The chicken nuggets got kind of hard and the fries were sogs!). Almost immediately after we finished eating, Lindsey started feeling light headed again, went to lay down in the back of her classroom and then went to puke in the bathroom. By this time, I was GLAD I chickened out!

Whatevs, obviously donating blood is not for me. But I got a free t-shirt and peanut butter cookies for trying!

Spring Break Day 3

Want to hear a funny story?

You know how I was complaining yesterday about not seeing 120 again since the first time it happened? Well when we got home from yoga last night and I got on the scale, guess what it said?! 120.0! I was so happy!

Today I'm going to donate blood with my sister at the school she interns at. In preparation, I'm currently eating a bowl of granola cereal and a banana, with a glass of orange juice. It recommended on the Florida Blood Centers website that you shouldn't eat within 3 hours before donating blood. So I'm eating my breakfast now and on my way to the school I'm going to stop at Chick-Fil-A and get us some lunch to eat after our donations. I'm so looking forward to some Chick-Fil-A, I wanted it yesterday, but I figured I'd wait til today and share it with my sister too. It'll be like a little reward for donating blood...which I'm honestly terrified about! I mean, I know it's going to do good things, but shit. They'll be taking almost a pound of blood!

I think we're going to skip yoga tonight, I'm afraid I'm going to be drained (pun intended!) after donating.

Spring Break Day 2

Not much planned for today, I'm going to Walmart at some point to get V some storage boxes for the utility room and I need to take those sample tiles back that I got yesterday...V didn't like any of them! I think we're going to look together the next time we have nothing to do.

Okay, so yoga is amazing. I've lost almost 20 pounds since I started in October (19 to be exact). I'm currently between 121-123 on a daily basis (usually like 121 in the morning and 123 at night). I have NO IDEA how to get under 120. Like it's impossible. I want to be like 113-115 by my birthday but it's really hard for me to believe it will happen. Once I came in at 120 but since that time I haven't seen it again. Always 121. I don't know what else to change! I go to yoga 4 days a week and I don't eat super unhealthy foods. Like let me tell you what I ate yesterday. 2 blueberry waffles for breakfast, 1/2 of a left over beach club sub from Jimmy John's for lunch, a zone bar at 7 before yoga, and a bowl of granola cereal and 4 strawberries for dinner. That's usually somewhat of a norm for my daily meals, minus the JJ's. I often eat like a pb&j for lunch or sometimes a grilled cheese. Then lately I've been eating a lot of salads for dinner.

However...the weekends are my enemy. You (and when I say "you", I'm referring to you, J.Mo!) saw what I had last weekend at The Ravenous Pig. Then Saturday we had grilled salmon, crab cakes and salads for dinner, and Sunday was the worst! Hot Dog Heaven for lunch and Jimmy John's for dinner! I don't know what it is about the weekends that makes us want to eat out, but it's baaaaaaad! Must.Stop.

Maybe that's what's holding me back from getting under 120. We're not going to change any of our eating habits this weekend so we'll see what happens!

Spring Break Day 1

I slept in a little bit and spent an hour after waking up figuring out my class schedule for the next 3 semesters. I'll be taking 4 classes this summer, fall and next spring and then I'll be done at VCC! Hooray! After I figured that out, I got dresses to go tile shopping. I found a couple different ones and I brought home samples of and only like 1. I'm waiting for V to come home to find out what he thinks.

Now I have nothing to do so I'm going to clean my cat's litter box because it seems to be leaving a stench in the little bedroom and then probably vacuum the house and back porch.

Yoga tonight! Wooooooo!

Lazy Sunday

We got up this morning and went for a drive.

After about 2 hours of driving, we decided to go to lunch at Hot Dog Heaven. MmmMmMMM!!!

We came home and V did some homework while I watched Toy Story 2. It was so good!

Now he's in the backyard cleaning up the rocks around the pool and I'm blogging.

This week is college spring break so I know I'm going to be super bored! I'm going to run as many errands as I can, wash my car, donate blood, and volunteer in my friend's 1st grade class! Maybe if I get really bored I'll work ahead in my US Government class...not likely.

I found out last night that I'm not going to be able to graduate from VCC at the end of this year, but I will be able to next spring which is still exciting! I have more elective classes that I need than I thought, so my last semester is going to be super easy. I signed up for American Sign Language class this summer in the mornings on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm really looking forward to it! The teacher I'm taking got the best reviews on Rate My Professors, so I think it'll be a good time. I'm taking 5 classes over the summer and one of them is only in the second term so it's literally 1 month long. All online except for ASL, because I don't presume you can teach sign language in an online class.

Saturday Morning

I was just walking back from the kitchen with my delicious cool blue Gatorade:
(my favorite thing to drink after yoga)...I was thinking it was like close to 12:30 or so, and then I looked at the clock and it read 10:28. Oh wow! Waking up early is so intense.

I went to yoga this morning at 8 with my good friend Amby. Her first time there and I was so glad she came! She did really well for it being her first time. Hopefully it won't be her last, lol

Rewind to last night. Remember how I mentioned us going to dinner at The Ravenous Pig? Well my dear reader, it was AMAZING. (bold, underlined and italicized; it was that good.) Probably the best overall meal I've had within the last 2 years? First we ordered drinks and appetizers. I got an apple-tini and V got a drink our waiter recommended;  The Ravenous Pig Old Fashioned: Bacon Infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Vanilla Maple Syrup, Bitters. His drink came with a half piece of bacon in it. I so wish I would have taken a picture. Apparently it was grood because he ordered another. Our friends we went with ordered Offal Frito Misto (crispy sweetbreads, chicken livers, duck hearts, blood orange, witte beer honey mustard) and the Suckling Pig and Bay Scallops (lantern bay scallops and braised suckling pig, king farms romanesco, apple salad), and I ordered their house made soft pretzels. I could not bring myself to try any of the frito misto, even though it was all fried and like everything tastes good when it's fried, I just couldn't do it. I did however, try the suckling pig and bay scallops. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Honestly. I was a little wary at first, but I was so glad I tried it. We ended up ordering another one of those after the first one was done; it was that good. After we pigged out (pun intended) on our appetizers; it was time to order our meals. At first V was going to get their American Red Snapper, but while we were eating our appetizers, we saw this giant piece of meat go by our table at least twice, and he changed his mind to that. It was their Vande Rose Farms Pork Porterhouse. I got the lobster tacos because they sounded yummy and they were an appetizer so I knew it wouldn't be a lot of food. We were told when we ordered that V's pork would take about 30 minutes, which was fine; we were in no rush whatsoever. It was also kind of nice that it took so long because it gave me time to settle all the appetizers. When our food came out I was blown away. My lobster tacos were delicious and V's pork. OMG. I decided if (or rather when) we go back, that's what I'm getting. The thing was HUGE. It was perfection. Everything about it was amazing and I don't usually like pork like that. His also came with a side of hammock hollow beans and greens, bacon broth, balsamic caramel which were absolutely delish. Our friends got some kind of duck and goat pasta dishes, I tried some of the goat and I'm not going to lie, it was good. I really wish I would have thought to take pictures of all our delicious meals, but I didn't...until dessert arrived. I ordered their cake & ice cream, and V got the bread pudding.
3 mini carrot cake cupcakes with a ginger milkshake. The milkshake was a little too milk-ish for me (i HATE milk) so I couldn't bare to drink more than 2 sips, but the cupcakes were yummmmmo!

If you're ever in Winter Park and you're looking for somewhere nice to eat for dinner, I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

After we finished dinner, we went down to Park Avenue to The Wine Room. I'd never been before. I don't particularly like wine, but I figured I'd go to hang out. You walk in and get this card that you can put whatever amount of money you want on and then you just walk around the whole place and there are little like stations of different types of wines. You stick your card in this slot and choose which wine you want, and how much. Most of the wines were about $3-4 for an ounce. I got 1 ounce of this Riesling, and ad 2 sips of these other kinds that V got, but that was it. I'm not much of a drinker. It was a really cool place though!

Spring break starts this week and I'm going to be so bored! Our US Government class started this past Thursday and we have 3 chapters to read/take quizzes on before the 18th, so I have a feeling I'll be working on those if I get too bored.
